First Source Advantage.  Collection Agency for Capital One.  They call cell phones, family & friends cellphones, work numbers and what ever other numbers or they can to get ahold of people or information about them.  Called back and spoke to the rep, Jessica and ten minutes later she called and left a message on my cell phone.

My sister who lives in California got a call from this number 888-274-6488 saying that they were trying to get a hold of me and I live in Georgia and that I gave her as a reference. I've never given my sister out as a reference. They said they are from First Source and I have no idea what First Source is. She asked what it was in reference to and they said they could tell her. She said that if she is a reference then they should be able to tell her what it's about. Said he was very rude about it.

how do i get them to stop calling my house.  They are looking for someone else.

Same type thing. they are obviously using some other means to get numbers. 2 numbers they called are not in the book and not under my name. lied about them being listed as a "secondary number". claimed to one person (at a business) that they were a bank and gave what would be considered personal financial info, supposedly about my account, to someone they didn't even know! called the number they left and they refused to give me copies of what they claim is owed (trying to get something in writing to report them) . when i asked are you a bank or what? they became abusive. when i asked for a supervisor, they hung up on me!

obviously you are FROM FS or can't read as many of these posts are from people that don't owe anything and don't know what it is about.
even if they do owe something, there are LAWS about what they can do
and say and they are breaking them! we have recieved calls in the past
for people that never lived there and we don't even know. they called back multiple times a day for weeks despite being asked not to.

I keep getting this call and its for a friend of mine, for I have told them that this is not his number, so today I told them to stop calling my phone and I hope this is the end to it

Thats all fine and all but how about if your a person who does pay their bills and still gets these calls from this company b/c they have the wrong person. You know you need to get a reality check also and look around you and see the economy is in ruin!! Even if these people haven't paid their bills that is no reason for people to call their jobs and give them a hard time so they might loose them. Then talk about them not be able to pay bills!!! I pray you recieve some grace and understanding!! There are people out there that need help and not everyone had a golden spoon put in their mouth. It takes all kinds in this world!! So get a life and stop going on these sites if they mean nothing to you!!!

Also my last post was to the guy who said to Pay your bills and you wont get calls.

They called me but I don't know why.

I had 2 calls from this number this morning. The caller said my mother had given him this number as an emergency contact-- she didn't. She does not live in the same area I do and hasn't visited in some time. The caller made it sound like someone had died or was on their deathbed. Demanded that I contact her immediately and have her call him about the mysterious emergency.

Calling me at my place of employment!!!  Must stop calling at my work!!
