- Dissapointed| 1 replyHonestly can't say, because I didn't speak to someone about it, but if they ARE scamming, is it legal to ask them very specific ?'s to make them accountable for what they are saying to us on the phone, & then tell them we have recorded it & that we are working with a scam reporter agency & they are being investigated & will be getting court charges filed against them?? After all, they are being dishonest with us right?? Also, it should be a punished crime for them to call & build up peoples hopes this way, if they are NOT legit, only to crush their dreams. Bottom feeders, taking advantage of everyday people who have really a hard enough time getting making it from paycheck to paycheck as it is. The sad thing is that the telemarketers calling are probably just as poor & took the job because they just "Needed" any work they could get.

- magCan't believe it--I just got the same call today from 888-323-5162 from some Sarah about a contest I didn't enter and that I "won it big"--something about an SUV. I'd like to tell them what to do with this SUV I supposedly won and to get a reality check--most people can smell a scammer a mile away and this one reeks!
- dubs35I got a call from 888-323-5162 which my caller ID states as IVC but it was a live person telling me I won a 50k home makeover from a contest I entered. I told her I do not accept soliciting and to take me off her list.

- HazelI too won $50,000 for Home Improvements in a contest that I never entered. I hung up before I found out the details about how I claim this wonderful prize. My feeling is that these people are targeting senior citizens from some list they bought or stole. My elderly Mother was living with me for a while and I now get all kinds of these SCAM calls. What a shame that they are allowed to get away with this.

- dkI won a home make over -- claiming I entered my name in the last 12 months at a shopping mall, online or movie theater. Right!!! Call Ellie at 888 323 5162. Not in this life time Ellie.

- SKLEllie is STILL calling, but her return call # is 888-301-0702 X421. Wonder of wonders, I TOO have won a 50K home makeover! Is anyone aware that the DNC list is aimed at telemarketers and if they call themselves a survey provider or a prize notification service they are NOT covered by DNC? That's why so many scam calls are making it through DNC.
- mgGreat News - I won a $50,000 home make over -- claiming I entered my name in the last 12 months at a shopping mall, online or movie theater. Right!!! Never entered a thing. Call Sally at 888 323 5162 ext 410.

I'm telling you, if the government needs money- they need to start fining these people. I'd be curious to see what the details to claim the "win" are. Maybe I'll call back and waste some of their time.- Caller: IVC

- Same call today 8/21/2012 replies to Dissapointedyeah, they left a message for me too. and im on the do not call list. I feel bad for the employee but at the same time they knew what kind of an annoyance telemarketers are. These companies can be fined for calling people on the do not call list. Im going to report them.
- JuanWell, someone should call them back so that can give that damn prize away. I got the same call, but don't think I will call them back. Funny how we all researched it anyway.

- SteveI am truly inclined to believe this a phishing call. It is just plain not specific enough to be a legitimate offer.
We got the makeover call just half an hour ago, but the message was distorted and I did not clearly get the callback number - though it was different than THIS number which called us.
Interesting thing is that my wife DID enter a drawing back in June in a major hardware store, but they would call with clear and specific information and this call was not specific. If it is real, they will call back, if it is phishing they may call back anyway...
If you ever pick up one of these calls, make sure that THEY identify YOU - do not offer identifying information, make them give you the information. If legitimate they will know exactly where and how your name got into their drawing list - if not then it is phishing and you are the prey.
Like many others here we are on the National Do Not Call list - that list is not a scam, but... If you ever did enter something like this you implicitly agreed to accept their call for notification. Unfortunately DNC does not apply the law makers or campaigners - how often to laws NOT apply to lawmakers. Sadly, though you may have agreed to some clause in the privacy policy for your bank or credit card or some other legitimate business which gave others the right to contact you - watch these things carefully.- Caller: Verification Center
