This should be a class action suit.  What are we waiting for?
Find a pro bono attorney,  a lawyer that would not charge a cent.

Look for them in the telephone books,  ask operators,  ask any lawyer that would know another lawyer that would do it for nothing.

This collection agency called themselves  CBCS at 1-888-325-3826   They are a collection agency in the State of Columbus Ohio and they will not stop unless we stop them.
It time we all get together and give them a taste of their medicine.

They even harass families for money for the person that has died.  They have no sense of morals.
They don;t even let the deceased rest in peace.  Can you imagine that?
They have abused their job and broken the law.  Because they have cross the line.  They do anything for money. and for their commision.

I had enough abuse and harassment.  Now I am going to take this personally.  They will hear from me but not they way they expect.

They broke the law and the attorney at law will be after them.  I promised you that .

I will not rest until they are stop.  After all it's free.  It;s pro bono.   Free a charge.

Write down when they call and the day and time they called.
    They are cowards.

So what do they want? I got a call from them, tried to call them back and nothing, the phone wouldn't connect. They left a message saying they were trying to collect a debt and said something about pain and suffering.

Collection agencies are UNREGULATED and 99% of them are UNLICENSED, so it doesn't matter to them if they break, bend, staple, or mutilate the law or not.  Most of these places are made up of 2 or 3 "agents" with some sleazy manager watching over them to make sure they make calls and do anything to harrass you, no matter what the law says.  Of course, they pressure you because if they collect anything from you, it goes straight into their pockets and NOT to settle the debt you owed, which still shows on your credit report.  And since, in this day and age where NOTHING is PRIVATE, ANYONE can look at your credit report without you knowing and can go back 10 to 15 YEARS and try to collect on a debt that you thought was paid off!

That's the price you pay when "BIG BROTHER" is ALWAYS watching you, BIG BUSINESS runs the country, and NOTHING is PRIVATE!!!!!

    Keep calling
The collection agency buys past due accounts from companies ie: AT&T in bulk, AT&T has already gotten their money from writing them off on their taxes, the collection agency gets that money and keeps it. They also add on a fee plus the debt. They have several numbers they call from; 888-325-3826, 866-760-5159 is another so far that I have from them. All I can say is don't answer the phone, I do not have an answering machine, nor do I want to get one, they can keep calling and they'll get no one. They'll also call from unknown numbers, cell phones etc. that's the way the collection agencies work.

I had read recently that the collection agencies want to have a law passed where, they can get someones email, phone numbers, their cell phone numbers, and also want to be able to have a fine for "customers", and or people they call to be held responsible for fines, or some sort of accountability for being rude to them on the phone.

These collection agencies are allowed to get away with murder.  I can understand trying to collect an outstanding debt if you are the original creditor.  These 3rd party collecters are just vultures.  They just pocket payments they get on old, written off debts, and your credit report is still blemished.  The way they treat people when they call is inexcusable, and that is whenever you acually get to talk to a human!

Called left message saying they were trying to collect a debt, but didn't identify who they were looking for.  Finally called them back and let them know that the party they are looking for does not live here, nor has this number.  Judging by the previous entries, they are also the ones I have been returning letters to with "does not live at this address".  Maybe they will get the hint?

In the case of a deceased person, if your name is NOT on any of their accounts, you are NOT liable for them.  A copy of the death certificate sent to them should stop any further calls.  If not, then turn it over to the attorney general in your state for harrassment.  They cannot force you to pay another persons debts.

WOW...Debt collector, calling about relative's, friends', neighbors' debts? Sounds like we need to talk to Dave Ramsey about this. He says they have very few rights, including harrassment. Sure need to get some legislation stopping this. In the past, I've fussed at my kids/grandkids for giving out my number - now I see it's possible they didn't. :P

I receive calls from these guys. It's a recorded/computerized voice asking for someone I don't know. I've never responded to the call. I just hang up, but I've recently downloaded the blacklisting app for my phone.Sometimes it ends up leaving a snippet of the call in my voice mail but it's not that often.
I think no response is the best response for these guys.
