    Barry,

We might find you more trustworthy if you'd take a class and learn how to properly express yourself in writing.

I just got a call from this company and they are telling me that I owe them $6000 on a $350 loan.  They are insane.  I asked for e-mail documentation or something in the mail and they refuse.  Keep telling me that I need to pay this bill first and then I will get a letter stating that my account is clear.  How STUPID do they really think we are?  No one would give that much money over the phone without any type of paperwork to back it up.  They have now started to harass my sister and that's going to far.  If anyone can get information on these people PLEASE pass it on.  I first got a call from 901-275-0517 and no one picks this line up it just goes dead, they leave a message to call back this 888-336-5999.  This is FOR SURE a scam!!!!  The person who keeps contacting me is Tim Wheeler and I also got someone (I think the same person) Raymond Scott saying that they are with US Cash Advance.   PLEASE BEWARE!!!

Whats the point of making us aware of the situation? The company needs to call us directly or put a note on our credit reports like any other financial institution would do. This is clearly a fear tactic designed to scare us out of our money.

I got a call from Paul Nixon tonight at work.  I'm at work in my office and no one else is here.  When I said I wasn't in, he proceeded to tell "me" that I should have Jo call him back as there were serious allegations and legal actions against her.  Give me a break!   Collections agencies don't do that.

I get the same phone calls at least 1-2 times a week but from a male caller. I called back once & was asked that I pay $250 (which I didn't do). I knew immediately when I asked for the mailing address & that a bill be sent to me but was given the run around. Nonetheless, the calls area annoying. Any advise on how to get them to stop?

Not a very professional post, Mr. Lloyds. I've certainly got "guts" & have called but was advised by my local law enforcement agency that this is definitely a scam.

Thank you so much. I've reported the phone # to the FTC & my local law enforcement agency. I will certainly call them back & try to get more information & luckily nothing is showing on my credit report. I appreciate the advice.

This man ,  with a foreign accent, called my mother's house looking for me. She told him I didn't live there.  He demanded to know my contact information saying that I had written some fraudulent electronic checks and listed her as a reference. When she told him she would NOT give out my information and he would have to leave his name and number and she would give it to me he began to threaten her.  He told her that he would prosecute HER for these checks because she was just as guilty being listed as a reference. She said she knew nothing about any checks and did not give anybody permission to list her as a reference on anything. She eventually got his phone number, 888-336-5999, but he did not give a name. When she told me the first thing I did was google the phone number because I knew I didn't have anything to do with fraudulent checks and that's when I found out I was attempting to be scammed.  I called the number and when I demanded to know who this was, in some colorful language, he hung up on me. When I called back some one different answered the phone. When I again demanded to know who the $#@# this was and why where they calling my elderly mother and scaring her they still tried to convince me I owed a debt and they would call my mother back and tell her I was taking responsibility for this. Then I lost it and cursed this man up one side and down the other. He began yelling and cursing me back. Real professional,  huh?  It wasn't until after I hung up that I realized he didn't even know who I was. I never gave my name and he never asked. So how did he know I owed anything or who my mother was? I'm glad I did my research before I called them. I was informed and he had no chance of scamming me out of anything.

I received a call from these bozo's. I immediately called my brother in law who works for the U.S. Marshall's service. They are investigating. Also put a watch on credit reports and bank accounts. It is not just scamm. After identity theft and possibly money laundering.

Someone named Justin or Jason is now threathing to call my supervisor and than asked me for the fax # to my job. Guess he will try to call my supervisor tomorrow to get this info. Boy is he going to get a ear full from her. Tonight he told me " I was just trying to cover my ass", because I won't agree to a payment arrangement of $200 (which I don't have). I know this is about a payday loan, but he won't tell me from which company, when the loan was taken or how much the orginal loan was for. I had three last year and paid all thru payment arrangements. As the consumer are we not entitled to this information before we make any consent to payment? I don't know what their tactics are in his country, but in this country, debt collector's do not speak to or threaten any consumer. It's against the law. They could be sued for poor practice and violation of a consumer's right to privacy.
Another thing I don't understand is how they can say we've broken any law of fraud. I never gave false information and they were able to contact me. I'm sure I paid them more in interest than the loan was worth.
