I received a call from someone named Ken stating he was with Bank of America and that he needed to verify some information regarding an online application.  We had recently opened another savings online, but my husband's name is listed first.  Ken left the message on my husband's cell phone, but said my name.  Just wondering if it is a legit call.

I Received a call from 1-888-383-7500 as well.  It IS Bank of America, and they are calling to do the verification check before opening a new account.  If you have a Fraud Alert on your credit report, they are required to call you and do this check to ensure that it is YOU and not someone else opening the account.  THIS CALL IS LEGIT AND IT IS REALLY BANK OF AMERICA.

what you can do is ask to call them back bc you need to verify who they are.
they will give you a reference number and a phone number.

I received an email saying I needed to verify a code in order to open a bank account with Bank of America. I did not try to open a bank account with Bank of America.

This is a legitimate call from Bank of America. I verified the phone number on Twitter as it's associated with their help Twitter handle. I also called the number back. It's their checking and savings application dept. Someone applied for a checking account in my name, and the call is to confirm it was me.

I received 4 phone calls, consecutively, from 8883837500 with a name TRIVIA TURNER shown on my phone.  At no time did they leave a message.  I called the number and the message said it was Bank of America and I hung up.  I called Bank of America, which has a different number, and the representative looked up my account and said there was NO ALERT given out by them.  And be wary of scams.

I received a call from 888-383-7500 stating there were questionable charges with my credit card, and they were from the fraud department. It is a scam! They say they are from Bank of America and they talk a good talk, but it is fraud! If you ever receive a call like that, hang up and call the phone number on the back of your card. If it is legit, they will have it on your record that they tried to contact you.

Fraud alert: I received a very convincing call from Bank of America Fraud Department. They asked if I had sent $800. and then $1,600. to an Arthur Young. I told them no. Then they gave me a case number. They also gave me two cancellation codes.  The BA employee’s name was Robert Wallace. He also gave me another code and told me he was going to transfer me so I can cancel the Zelle payments. I was super suspicious at that point and told him I was going to call BA fraud department myself and check out all this information. At that point, he told me if I didn’t do it, they were going to transfer the money. I hung up. I called BA fraud dept and they told me it was a fraudulent call. Please be careful out there. Don’t give them any information. Hang up and call the bank yourself using the number on the back of your credit card. Scammers are getting better at what they do.
