They have called my home number twice with a mechanical insertion of a name I don't recognize. They leave the number and a reference number 10216654, butwhen I tried to call back, thinking it was a misdirected call and might be important to the person they were trying to reach, I could not dial the number beyond the first 4.

CBA- Collection Bureau of America. You're right they leave automated message, reference number. This means that you owe some company money and you were reported to collections for not paying. The sooner you call them back, the better.

I received a call from someone I could barely understand.  The said it was from CBA with a reference number but no information.  Since I have not received any late or overdue bills, I did not know who this was.  After researching that this was a toll free number, I attempted to call 3 times to find out what the call was about.  I could not reach anyone.  An automated voice said to call back later.  Many calls have come in the same day as their call with no message left.  This seems like harassment.

These people have been calling me for months, and worse its on my cell so every time they leave that automated message it costs me minutes. They are always referencing the name of the guy who used to have this number (I still get a lot of calls for him) but I can't get anyone at CBA to pick up the phone so I can tell them they have the wrong number. I have left messages but that is not working. One time I actually got a live person on the phone, but he wouldn't do anything until I gave him all my personal information. No way I was going to do that. Anyone know who I can report these BOZOs to?

Similar experience, almost unintelligible call from CBA with reference number. This is the answering machine version of 'phishing.' If it is legitimate they would send a letter. They don't, because it is mail fraud for the crooks. Think ACE is one of them.

They call with the name of someone who lives here. But they say it's about personal business of theirs but they don't say who they are.

This place has been calling my home phone number with an automated message for months, at least once a day, looking for someone who is not me. Whenever I press 1 to speak to someone, I am told the office is not open. So, finally today I waited until mid-day and called the number back. I spoke to a very nice woman. She asked the name of the person the message is asking for, then my phone number's last 4 digits. Using that info she looked up the info and said they got the number using 411 information and she would remove it from the list now that they knew it was incorrect. She apologized and was very nice. We'll see if they ever call back now. They'd better not.

Don't know who these people are or what they are calling about.  I just get a cryptic automated voice message saying call this number back.

have received four of these automated calls in the last week on my company phone, female computer voice asking for me by name "with a very important personal message", then asking if I want English [press 1] or Spanish [press 2] - but no agent is available to deliver message, whatever it is.  Uh huh.  I receive enough suspicious calls on our company phones to know the signs of one.  I will not call back.

Yes I get the same thing. I would think they would be a little more professional if they were legitimate!!

claims I owe moneey to the Cof SJose - but I have a zero bal. with them per their business tax office.  I have verbally disbuted this debt with CBA and requested a complete account history from Ccof SJose.

Got a call from 510-800-2059 with a robo message to return a call regarding personal business to the number 888-454-5310. Don't know what these 🤡s want but I have no business with them nor anyone that they represent. Reporting the call the Federal Trade Commission ftc.gov

Since this is a debt collection call you will find that is not the proper place to report unless you lie about the call type. I have to wonder why people can't or don't know about the government agencies that protect them when it has been so highly publicized?
