These people call me @ any given time or day even Sundays and I don't owe any debts.  I was divorced 3 years ago so my ex may have ran up some debts in my name, but I'm not paying those for sure.  Anyway I would love to see these people stop the harassing phone calls and the folks that work there get a real job.

I get the same thing, but since we both work nights, we are not able to do anything within 3 seconds or press 1 to end the call because we are asleep when they call. So they talk to the machine. Getting sick of calls that are not for me.

I received 2 calls from this number...one last night and one tonight.  Both were after 8 p.m.  That seems really late to me.  They don't leave a message either.

I have been registered with the "NATIONAL DO NOT CALL LIST" since it was first enacted by Congress, and continue to receive calls from this number (888-483-3767), as well as other telemarketing calls (TOO NUMEROUS TO MENTION), as I have filed over 1005 complaints to "THE NATIONAL DO NOT CALL REGISTRY", to report these callers, and 'NOTHING ' is done by this 'FEDERAL AGENCY' (THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION), nor have I received any compensation! If you look at your telephone bill, regardless if it is a land-line or cell phone number, you are charged each and every month by 'FEDERAL and 'STATE' taxes!  We, as taxpayers need to sue the 'FEDERAL GOVERNMENT', FOR THIS INEPT AGENCY! As most calls originate from outsourcing to India and other countries, 'THE NATIONAL DO NOT CALL REGISTRY' will not stop these calls!

    they think i am stupid
get calls all the time, finally left a number for me to call back.  Called and asked them to remove my number they would not unless I gave them my name and social security number.  Yeah like I am that stupid.  They indicated they could not discuss who they were until my identity was verified. I informed them that they called me and should be able to look it up by phone number and remove my number.  Not very nice people.  This place should be shut down. Shame on you Texas for allowing this busines in your state

Calls 3-4 times per day, every day.  So much for the do not call list...perhaps we are supposed to sign up every day???

    Whistle Blower
This number calls my work cell phone all the time, has for months. Most days it just rings one time & that's it. They call late at night, after 8 & 9 PM and on the weekends. At home, I'm never close enough to my phone to grab it before it stops ringing. They never leave a message & I don't call back but, it is annoying. Someone gave me a great idea though, and I'm really going to try to do this. Get a whistle & the next time they call and you have them on the line, blow the whistle as hard as you can into the phone & blow their ear drums out. Hmmm, maybe after doing that a few times, they will stop calling. It's worth a try. <]=0)~

Try 5.5 years, started right after I got my current phone number - I have no idea who Mindy Gottschalk is and I have told them that and asked them not to call again repeatedly; placed them on the Federal Do Not Call Registry and told them that  - it will not stop, nearly every day for 5.5 years!  I have been up on ladders, at the other end of house, etc. when they call - THIS IS PURE HARASSMENT! I am getting an attorney.

    tired of this crap

Relentless calls. No caller ID. They either hang up or leave an automated  voice mail for someone I don't know. I can only block so many numbers and debt collector calls for other people are getting out of hand. I am going to start a trace on all of them and sue.

Sprint allows me to block calls.  Since I get and ignore a call from these guys every day its time to block them.

    Fed UP!
Repeatedly get calls from this phone number for a debt that I didn't agree with from day 1 -- 8 years ago -- and have repeatedly said so to the original creditor and sent in documentation.  Today they called my mom looking for me.

According to FTC, What practices are off limits for debt collectors?  Repeatedly use the phone to annoy someone.  http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/credit/cre18.shtm

    Then file a complaint https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/

Even if they are calling for someone you don't even know and the debt isn't yours, file a complaint!  They are harassing you and that is against the law...especially before 8 am and after 9 pm.

OK, the National Do Not Call list seems like a huge FAIL

So any possibility of a "No Trespassing" sign for our phones?:

My line of thinking is, we pay for our phone and for our number. We can port our numbers to new phones. So, do we actually own the number like a piece of real estate? If so, when unwanted calls come to our phone, are they trespassing on private property? Can we have something like an electronic "No Trespassing" sign that  severs intrusive callers, sends them a warning message they are trespassing and also informs them further trespasses will be automatically noted and forwarded to authorities for possible legal action?
