Asked to speak with Pamela.  I asked who was calling, she said Cesilly from CBA.  I asked to take a message.  She left the call-back number, her extension and a reference number.

I've received probably at least 3 phone calls per day for the last 5 days from this company.  They leave messages asking to call back different certain people and some reference number.  All they say is that they're calling from CBA.  I have NO idea who/what it is so I'm just ignoring them but it's really getting irritating!!!

I received a call from this # on my cell phone. A message was left by John Cummings along with a reference #.  I blocked my # when I called back just to see what this company was and why they were calling me (without actually talking to the person that left the message in the event I didn't really want to talk to him).  CBA stands for COLLECTIONS BUREAU OF AMERICA. So if you are intersted in correcting your collection issues....call them back....if not...DON'T!

I received this number in relation to my ex-boyfriend and the only thing related that I think of is the car he took out with carmax two years ago and used my number with his lease. Is it major companies that use this collection agency to attempt to contact someone??

Stated our company owed money that we don't owe.

Got a call on my cell phone this morning with two different numbers.  888-558-5192 & 888-454-5482. Left a message about calling back for a personal matter.  Have no idea who this company is.

Called telling me to disregard letter because my balance was reported as paid from Charter Communications.  Don't know why I was reported to them anyways because I paid my final bill when I cancelled service from that horrible company.

I'm reporting them to the FTC for violating the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. I called them to pay off a debt in full. The woman who I talked to was very nice (I later found out she was the VP of the company) however, she told me I didn't have to write down my reference # because she would email it to me. I never got the email & when I called back, the rep told me she had no idea what reference # I was referring to. "Marian" also never told me about the $7.99 processing fee. I've called several times & cannot get ahold of her. I keep getting sent to her voicemail. Do yourself a favor, if they have an accout of yours, just directly call the company you owe. Not these clowns.

They have been calling everyday for the last few months. Never leaves a reference number. Just a name of Bruce Smith.

They are a collections agency. Call them back. Turns out, they were looking for my in laws (they used MY number for their account) and not me. Had I not spoken To them, I’d keep getting calls. And I wouldn’t know my in laws are using my info fraudulently. They will call until you speak to them.

Storytime from a shill?  Seems too perfect a scenario with a happy outcome. Not buying it. Collection Bureau of America comes up in lot of posts as possible debt scammer that harasses people. They also do a goodly amount of shilling. Not good signs.

Criminal outfit out of California. Your employers will not be happy that you came here to make them look good because it will definitely result in a lot more lawsuits for them. What you described is criminal and I don't mean your alleged "in-laws". They call plenty with just a this is Bruce smith cba. Call us back at 888-558-5192.  No reference or Info.  Everyone I’ve ever had a bill from has my email, address etc, either leave some info , email or mail me but not a sketch call with no info.

I have been getting phone calls daily from a Bruce Smith from CBA, saying to call back at this number.  I won't call him back.  How do I make him stop calling me?

They have been calling me every other day with the exact same recorded message from Bruce Smith:

“Hi this is Bruce Smith calling from CBA please contact me or any of our representatives at 888-558-5192 today until 5 PM Pacific time or any weekday from 7 AM to 5 PM Pacific time…”

I get calls every other day from this number: +1 (949) 669-1623:

“Hi this is Bruce Smith calling from CBA please contact me or any of our representatives at 888-558-5192 today until 5 PM Pacific time or any weekday from 7 AM to 5 PM Pacific time…”

They are SCAM.
