- Sir Spam O notCaller wanted to know if I knew or could put them in contact with a person who used me as a relitave reference. I did NOT know the person, The rep at National Debt collection indicated they would remove my name from the case.
I guess we will see if that happens.- Caller: National Debt Collection
- HernandoguyI've had a conversation with a person from this number. It is NRS. They called me saying that I had taken out a loan with a payday service I had never used or heard of. Come to find out that someone had stolen my identity and I guess took out a loan. I cleared it up with my bank as soon as the money came out of my checking account, got my money back and the NSF fees. When I explained what had happened to the lady at NRS, she didn't believe me and said that I still owed the money. I didn't agree to any of their terms and she keeps calling me and sending me emails stating that I agreed to pay the money. As of right now, I don't respond to their calls or emails. So I guess I'll have to try sending them a letter. The only problem is that they call me at least 4 times a day. And at least one of those times is after 8 pm at night. I thought those people weren't supposed to be able to call after a certain time of day. Who knows.

- KristinaI have been dealing with these people for some time now. NRS - National Recovery Service. They are not very nice, and way more persistent than I have seen a collection company be in quite some time. They call me at least once a day, and when I tell them that I can't take care of the debt that I owe until February, all they can say is that the calls won't stop until payment arrangements are made. They don't hesitate to provide me with their info, but when I first found out about them, the withdrew money out of my bank account that I did not authorize. Since I didn't know who they were, nor did I give them permission to take the money out, I told my bank that it was unauthorized and they gave me the money right back. I called them immediately and told them that they were not allowed to remove money from my account, and that I would never authorize it. Until I have the money to pay them off, they can just sit and wait. If I had the money in the first place, they would've already received their payments. Anyways, they are an extremely annoying company, but you will just have to deal with them if you owe them money. If they try and take money out of your account or start fighting to get your banking information, tell them that it isn't authorized information for them to have. They may fuss, but your phone conversations are recorded, and they can't forge information or force any payments to be made without your approval. Don't let them threaten you, because they can't do much with their threats, but make sure you pay off your debt as soon as possible. Once it is taken care of, you no longer have to deal with them at all. Good luck to you.

- RiaI get a call from these people atleast ten times a day. They call and say they need to speak with me about something I am not aware of. They do not state who they are with. I am not paying these people a pennie. They are a collection agency who deal with delinquent payday loans. I do not owe these people anything. I want the phone calls to stop!

- HomelessManI am very surprised at how many of the postings in this one thread are obviously posted by the collector. This is the first time I have looked at one of these threads so maybe it is common. I don't know. But to all the people who are insulting the individuals who are unable to pay their bills don't think you fooling anyone. I have to leave my home in two days because of foreclosure and I have no place to go after that. I will be living on the streets literally. I have told that to these people and they still want to know when I am going to make a payment. I am only grateful that I will no longer have a phone when I no longer have a home. Then they will not be able to insult me anymore.
- Elon77| 1 replyI've gotten 3 calls a day for two and 1/2 weeks from this number for someone that isn't me. I'm not in debt, I've never contacted this company, and I've tried calling back 6 times and never get thru. A couple of times someone picked up, breathed into the phone and hung up. It's getting really annoying. Anyone know another way to get them to stop calling? I'm not trying to cause problems, and I'd love to tell them they have the wrong number, they just won't answer my return calls!

- SassyI recieved a call from this number this morning at 6:30am Pacific Time, caller did not identify themselves just asked for someone I have never heard of, I told this clown that it was 6:30am and she was violating federal law by calling me before 8am. she claimed she was not aware of what time it was, I told her that perhaps she should confirm the area code before she calls? also told her she had the wrong number and to not call again.
Only reason I answer my phone at that hour and at any hour is that I am a corrections officer, my husband is a police officer and I also have elderly parents, never know if the phone call is an emergency or not.- Caller: not specified
- Karencalling me on my job to collect a debt will get me foired .... send me post mail to try to resolve the matter
- Cool BreezeI have been receiving calls from this number for at least three weeks. It wasn't a daily thing but it was enough to annoy you. The company is National Recovery Services (nationalrecoveryservicesllc.com) based out of Ottawa, Kansas.
I finally called the number and spoke with a live person. The woman told me that the phone options (ie, push 1 if this is Jane Doe, 2 if this is not Jane Doe, etc) are not working. I gave her the number for the person they were looking for and she removed it from the system.- Caller: National Recovery Services

- The Loan Ranger replies to YogoDon't get scammed by illegal payday loan lenders. Check with your state's banking authority and if you find the lender is not registered in your state, the company is likely not legitimate or can not enforce the loan in your state. Ignore harassing telephone calls and tell them to put it in writing. If they are not sending you anything by mail, forget it. Pass this on, its time we fight back against all those scammers out there. Thanks!

- The Loan Ranger| 1 replyDon't get scammed by illegal payday loan lenders, especially if they cannot even speak English. Check with your state's banking authority and if you find the lender is not registered in your state, the company is likely not legitimate or can not enforce the loan in your state. They will try to threaten you with legal actions and try to use official language, but don't be fooled. They are only trying to get access to your banking account information. If they already have your banking information, CLOSE YOUR ACCOUNT and open a new account somewhere else. Ignore harassing telephone calls and tell them to put it in writing. If they are not sending you anything by mail or unwilling to give you a valid mailing address, it is a good chance they are NOT LEGITIMATE!!! Pass this on, its time we fight back against all those scammers out there. It is time we put a stop to the harassing phones and threats. Thanks!

- The Loan Ranger replies to The Loan RangerRemember: A legitimate debt collector WILL NOT harass, disrespect, or violate your privacy by contacting your employer, friends or family when have you expressed the preferred method by which you want to be contacted. A legitimate debt collect WILL mail you written confirmation of the amount you owe and detailed information and steps to take if you wish to dispute the amount. This written confirmation will usually be sent within week of their initial contact to you by phone. Again, if they do not send you any sort of invoice, they are NOT LEGITIMATE.
