I fell behind on my auto loan for my chevy and they reached out and let me pay with them. its a collections number

Hmmm...  what is the name and address of this company that so kindly allowed you to pay them?  It's difficult to accept your post as valid given that posts on other sites suggest this is a scam.  As recently as Dec 10, 2024, one post says a call from this number attempted to impersonate their bank.  The community should be cautious in evaluating the authenticity of your post.  In addition, call back to the number gets, "Thank you for calling Member Services" followed by a hang-up.  Tried this 3 times with the same result.  One might expect a legitimate debt collector to identify themselves when called.

sniff...sniff... I smell a shill.

I received a missed call from this number and they left a very fast voicemail-they were pretending to be one of the banks I use but it is not them because the caller number and the call-back number they gave has nothing to do with my bank, plus my bank says certain things when they call in a certain manner and this woman was nothing like my bank reps are.
