Got a call from 888-658-8396 from shell supposedly!!!  Said that my card was 'compromised' Called shell directly and they have no such number...and did not generate this query.  This is a scam!!!

got the same call today, seemed fishy to me which is why I decided to do a search on the # apparently it is indeed fishy

Received a message about our gas card and was hesitant to call this number back so called the one on the back of our card and was transferred to the fraud department and found out the card had been breached and immediately cancelled the card.  Thank you CITI for taking care of your customers.

Aaron called about my Sunoco gas card......Suspicious activity, and said my card had a hold on it until she heard back from me. I checked my account online, nothing suspicious, and no hold.........SCAM!!!!!!!!

Got a message saying my Exxon card was compromised & call 888-658-8396. Suspicious so called # on back of my card. Transferred to fraud department & they confirmed they tried to contact me & that call back # legit.  My acct. on a list of #s with potential for breach. Cancelled & reissued new one.

It's a scam!  Call the number on the back of your card!  All was well with the card.  The lady calling had a heavy Hispanic accent.  Con artists!

Just received a call about my exxonmobil card that someone was using it. They wanted my social, it made no sense.

Just received a call from this number, which went ot my voice mail.  They said they wanted to verify suspicious activity on my card, but they did not have my card number, the compnay name was garbled, and they used my middle inital, which is unusual.  They gave me a verification code and said to have my card number handy. I did not call them back.

Got the same call today it's legit. my exxon card got used in Miami for $88 not me.

Yes, this the the Citi faud department. Citibank is the one servicing Exxon and Shell cards and this is their fraud department number.  Oddly, when the agent called, it was from a 904-954-1207.

Received a call from a female (no lady) with a heavy Latina accent from the number 423-467-6460.  She said my Exon-Mobile card had "suspicious activity." She said a hold had been put on the account for my protection.  She advised me to call back on the number 1-888-659-9396, use reference code 1142.  The only trouble with this call is I do not have nor have I ever had an Exon-Mobile credit card.  Both these numbers are associated with a Scam!
