got a call from this number....called all my families cell numbers but never called mine.  anyone know who this is

Also just got this.. No company name, or even the caller's name.  Just a threat to have a claim filed against me in 'my county' ...

SCAM:  Message left: caller identified self as from Ackerman & Walker. Asked for Tanya (no tanya in my home/family) told me to call back this #888-673-6051 made it sound like legal issue and left case #.  I just erased message and blocked #

I received a call from these people as well. WA Mediation and Filing - Walker & Akerman. Said they found a delinquent account on my Credit Report. I checked my credit report.... nothing that they were referring to.

Received a 3rd voicemail today from a "Mrs. Price from Akerman & Walker", asking me to return her call before they file with the "county". No mention of who or what it is in reference to, just gave a case number which was left by a recording. In fact, half of the voicemail was an automated message with a few comments from "Mrs. Price".

I called asked for the website to there company. The couldnt provided it. Wanted me to verify my SSN I didnt, then he (Mr. Price) became rude and told hung up

I just called them back and they state they are a collection firm, Akerman Walker Mediation and Filing. I was dumb enough to give them my card number for a supposed debt from over 8 years ago. They stated they filed a civil suit against me for the debt. Now I'm wondering if it's fraud.

This number has called my wife, and myself, for several weeks. They have left messages stating they have filed a civil suit against me, through my county, and wanted over $500. Then, when I spoke to them this morning, the amount was $300+. They had the last 4 of my SSN and mentioned an old debt from over 8 years ago, which sounded bogus. Sadly, I gave them payment info and they stated they would send a verification and authorization email for me to confirm. That email never arrived.

Got a call today from MS. Price said she was going to file a suit against me in my county. I have no outstanding debt. This is a scam

I just received a call from an unknown number, a Mrs. Price called stating she was from Ackerman Walker Mediation Firm and that I need it to respond within the next 48 hours. they left a recording with a case number.  Few minutes later another Legal Support office this one his name was James Humber gave me a different phone number but the same case #.

I have had (2)calls from an unknown number and a man from extension #105 is looking for someone else, leave me a message to call 888-673-6051 ext.105. I proceeded to contact the number to tell the guy to stop calling my number and put me on a "Do not call list". The man was EXTREMELY EXTREMELY RUDE, and would not allow me even finish my sentence. He stated that since I was listed as someone who was associated with the person they where looking for, he proceeded to tell me it was my responsibility to contact them. When I was telling him to put me on the do not call list, and that the matter was between him an the person they are looking for, he hung up on me. I want to formally file a complaint on this company and want to know who I would need to contact for this.

Received the following voicemail from 888-673-6051 and then the same voicemail from 877-589-2033. Message transcribed from voicemail:

"Hello my name is Mrs. Price calling from Ackerman and Walker mediation in filing attempting to reach Tracy. Imperative we speak with either you or your representing attorney in regards to a case for it she was filing from the client prior to the County finalizing this paper work. Contact our firm at 1-888-673-6051. Please reference your file number zero."

I immediately block these numbers because 1) I am not the person named in the voicemail, 2) out of curiosity I "googled" the first number and found numerous comments about scams from the 888-673-6051 number 3) I searched for this "Ackerman and Walker mediation" NO such company exists with this exact name in any internet search 4) and just from reading the message itself sounds illegitimate: what are they filing with the county? what "paperwork" is being finalized? Any legitimate collection or mediation company would send a letter notifying the individual of the collection attempt and would clearly identify themselves as attempting to collect a debt. This is the legal way in which companies collect debt. People learn your rights. Get educated. Consumer fraud, which includes identity theft and collection of money for debts not owed or "time-barred" debt is the fastest growing crime in the U.S. Do not call the numbers back. Do not engage with these frauds. Do some simple research and unless you are receiving WRITTEN notices, as required by Fed/State consumer protection laws. These are probably scams.

They have done that to me too.

I have received numerous calls from the same number. Claiming I owe an online loan company...for a loan I took out 4 years ago. I did not secure any loans for which I have not paid in full. I am not deliquent on any bills owed. I called the loan place in question...and they told me that it was definately a scam. As I received the same threatening statements pertaining to filing lawsuit against me...these people are getting personal information and using it to threaten and steal our money...If this is true and legitimate it should be mailed directly to our homes from the originater...not third parties...

Threatening me about a debt I owed from Western Sky Financial saying I'm going to be served at my job. If I don't comply and I would have to pay extra fees and take classes and it would be. Very costly.

Got a call last week from someone by the name of "Sam" from Ackerman & Walker for a online loan taken out years ago (already paid off). Apparently they filed a paperwork with my local county courthouse and it was either talk to them or give them our lawyers number. At first I thought it was for a car accident we're currently battling in court so I called back and turned out to be a scam. When my husband told them to send us papers (which they refused since they only use "email" docu sign or some crap like that), they kept pressuring to resolve and pay asap and that they don't scam people (like really?) and they're just there looking out for people (smdh). When my husband said he looked up their company and nothing comes up but reviews as scammers, which when we told them that they said they're a new company and people are just out to discredit them. Needless to say, they told us in 24hrs we'd get emailed paperwork since they're "so busy" and they'd give us a call back. It's now been 3 days, no email nor call and the loan company we got a loan from has given us paperwork saying we don't owe a dime. Their number is now blocked.

We have received 9 calls from 888-673-6051 [4 calls], and 414-238-0262 [5 calls] between 2/13/17 and 4/24/17.  All calls had some form of the same recorded message. Six calls did not identify the caller, three of them were identified as originating from “Ackerman and Walker.”  Two calls were recorded by a “Mrs. Price.”   Two were recorded by “Amy Banks” and identified her direct call back line as Ext. 104.  The others didn’t identify an individual but asked that I call their “legal department” immediately or “within 48 hours” before the case was filed with the “county.”  Several of the calls referenced ”civil case number 44285.”  Three of the calls identified “Pauline Begay” or Pauline” as the person they were trying to contact.  Two of them referenced the last 4 digits of my social security number.  None of the calls identified their “client,” the “county” or the subject of “Civil Case 44285.”  We didn’t answer any of the calls.

Got the same stupid call. Mrs. Price from Ackerman and Walker. Call back or we will file paperwork for out client with the county. Blah blah blah.
I receive so many of these calls from so many different companies claim they are going to file paperwork with the county if I don't call them back to settle this. I have even been threatened won't arrest if I didn't call them back.  I think I have blocked at least 50 numbers. Probably more. No law suits have ever been filed, no papers served, and no police on my doorstep. Every week it's a new number and a new company. My credit report is clean. I have no payday loans.
If the scammers leave a name, I report them to my states attorney general.
Something needs to be done to stop these people. They terrorize people into paying them.  Not me. I delete and block.

Im an attorney they are scam artists pretending to be debt collectors. Do not give them any info and maybe call the police and report to the Attorney Generals office
