Call received from "fraud department" stating there were fraudulent charges from out-of-state location. Sounded legit until they asked to verify my entire credit card number, of which they had the first 6-8 digits. I pushed back and they hung up on me and called back but I did not answer. Incidentally, this number is a real number for American Airlines Citi card, but that was not the card that they were calling me about and they do not ask for your current number to issue you a new card in the case of compromised cards. BEWARE! If it sounds suspect, hang up and call your credit card issuer. I called my other card issuer and requested a new card even though they confirmed there were no charges outstanding on my actual account. Obviously my card number is at least partially compromised despite it being not lost or stolen.
