Es ist schon mehrfch vorgekommen,
daß ich 4 Achten im Display hatte.
(Festnetz, aber keine Vorwahl abgezeigt)
Wer kann das sein ?

I stupidly gave my mobile no. to Napster to download a tune. They have been texting me 8888 many times a week and it costs me £1.50 a time to read a message which says i have  a free voucher waiting. Text back STOP ALL in capital letters!! or ring Napster on 08707502929. What a rip off! how can this be allowed?

und einen co-Vertrag mit Napster hat. d.h. wer eine Flatrate
ordert, bekommt 3 Monate Musikload und einen MP3-Player gratis.

Es ist nur seltsam, daß vor der 8888 die Vorwahl 0800 nicht mit
angezeigt wird. Also so ganz sicher bin ich mir nicht, vielleicht
ist es auch ein Trittbrettfahrer. Ich kenne 8888 eigentlich nur
als Portnummer wenn man mit Napster zu tun hat, auf keinen Fall
als Telefonnummer.

why is it calling

The number 8888 called me two days before and it is a kind of rumour in our area that if this kind of call is answered then the person dies.

The 8888 phone number has being calling me for weeks

Got a call from 8888 on 8/13/2019 at 3:35pm, the call lasted 3 seconds and automatically disconnected.

I receive as many as 12 calls a day from 8888. They call at any hour. I have them blocked but the phone rings through and is followed immediately by a second call. Somebody needs to find caller and stop these annoying calls.
