- AlanThe are in India, at least the guy I talked to said he was! I was called about, hell, I can't understand him, something about DVD's. Told him I only buy DVD's occassionaly from Wally's other than that I get them from NetFlix. He asked me how did they get my SSN then if I didn't order. Told them to send me copy of order. They don't have it. Asked him what my SSN was. He couldn't give that out, asked me did I want him to give me my DOB. Asked him why, was he going to send me a present? He got mad & his accent got thicker & he talked faster; telling me "the bottom line is or you going to pay for this or not?!" "Not." "You must pay the $71 or it will be reported on your credit! It will be reported on your credit, do you understand? So. How will you be paying this today?!" Tried to tell him to send me proof of debt, but would just interrupt me when I was speaking. I've never bought any DVD's thru the mail, nor CD's. Anyway. I find it amusing that they are outsourcing crap like this to India & they have no way of verifying the debt?!?
- Delores Warfield| 1 replyI have been receiving calls from 05-226-2735 for about 3 months. First they said they were a pharmacy in India and wanted to speak to my husband. My husband asked them not to call here again. The calls continued and I stopped being polite and got down right rude. Then (the same caller) said "I love you". I hung up and now every time I answer the phone they say "hello dear, how are you?" The calls continue daily and sometimes twice a day. How do I get this caller to stop? I am on the National Do Not Call List.
- A| 2 repliesFirstsource is a reputable collection company. Pay your bills or call back and discuss arrangements and -tada- the calls will stop! Wow. Amazing.
- DTMSReceived called from 888-872-1566 # they said they were from first source advantage. Sounded like someone from India. Very hard to understand. wanted to collect $ 125.00 from Kay jewelers. haven't bought anything from them in over 20 years. On top of that i closed my account after the note was payed off. They are a scam. They even tried to get me to reveal personal information by giving me my SS# and address.

I got a call from these people today, heavy Indian accent, asking me if I knew a certain person. I told them that I didn't and then they insisted on "getting information" from me. I hung up on them and they called back right away. I picked up and then hung up. They called me again. They kept calling and I kept hanging up on them. After the fifth time they called I answered it and threatened them to leave me alone, I don't know the person they are looking for and hung up again. ... and they had the nerve to call me a 6th time! I just let it ring, my answering machine is down. I was so pissed! That is out and out HARRASSMENT! Where do these Indian [***] get off? - Little Girl Blue| 1 replyHave been receiving calls from this number at the company where I work as a receptionist, not asking for anyone in particular, several times a day. I finally got the number from our caller ID display, listened to the recording and dialed back the 888 number as it was stated. It rang for a long time with a strange sounding ringer, then a woman with a heavy accent answered with a different company name than had been stated in the recording. I said, "Hello, I have been receiving numerous calls from this number and I'd like you to remove our phone number from your database, as this is a place of business." The woman said, "Ok?" and hung up.
We'll see if they call back.- Caller: First Source Advantage, LLC

- bibi replies to meExcellent wish I knew how you did that PBX thingie would love to do that as well. They call my minor son with a collection from before he was born on a name which is not his. Even stating that he is a minor does not help. Nor the do not call list. I am extremely disappointed with our legislators.

- MBRBI just answered the call as I am waiting for Verizon yet all I got was heavy breathing! Ugh. Seriously if they were legitimate they would leave a message with a call back number but they never do! Attorney General Schneiderman will be receiving a letter today!
- Caller: Unknown
- MBRB replies to AIf they are reputable they would leave you a message as to why they are calling, what the debt is for and to whom it is owed. Not just leave the line open on your answering machine with nothing said.
- UnknownPhone number appeared on my cell several times called them back just to get in touch with a so called debt collector. Very persistent on getting my banking information to pay of a Capitol one credit card. Not feeling well that day agreed to send them a money gram but never did. The only thing is I want to report these idiots to local police.

- WTThey called and left a message indicating First Source Advantage as the company and they were trying to collect a debt. I knew I didn't have any outstanding debts so thought this was some scam attempt.
Called them back and they actually seemed professional. They asked if they had the right name and they did. However, the address and last 4 of SSN they gave to me to confirm was not my info. Told them they had the wrong person but right name. So he said they would go ahead and make a note. So sounds like they won't be calling anymore. I was waiting for the scamming to start but never happened. Seemed legit as long as they don't call back.- Caller: ESG
