- JulieI received a call yesterday and am supposed to settle a debt that I knew nothing about. They told my daughter when they left a message for me that the call was in regards to a court appearance. If I didnt pay what I agreed to they would charge 1500.00 plus court costs, etc. I am calling my lawyer. This now seems fishy since I reversed looked up the number and keep finding all of these comments from others and their stories are very similiar to mine. Not going to pay until my attorney checks this out.

- RNKitI have done a lot of research after getting calls repeatedly from these people. They gave me an address to send a check to because I said I never give my information over the phone. The address is 1442 E. Lincoln Ave #328, Orange, CA 92865. After calling a lot of companies with the same address but other "Suite" numbers, 1442 E. Lincoln Ave is a UPS Store with the equivalent to post office boxes, and the employees of the other companies stated that this is definitely a scam. Also, "Richard Pedroza/Pedrosa" can't keep his stories straight and has told me at least 15 different stories at this point. I'm getting information together to file a report with the Attorney General and the FBI... P.S., if you call the company they are stating your former debt was with, they will tell you who your debt went to, and you can track it that way. I did owe HSBC money at one time, after a divorce, but settled it years ago, and it would be past Fair Credit Reporting Act regulations now if I hadn't...

- Missie| 1 replyI keep getting calls from these people and they are very rude. I have talked to a Richard Padroza and he keeps telling me I have to make payments or I will be sued and they will come after me. They even called me at my job. I asked them to send me some information on the debt and have yet to recieve anything.

- .. replies to MissieThis is another head of the Corona Scam.
They may be faking "debts" using information on old accounts found from pulling credit reports.
Check your credit reports to see if they pulled one recently. The inquiry might show up under a different name.
Contact FTC. - LisaOk so I was stupid enough to fall for this scam yesterday. I have since cancelled my credit card account. I was told papers were to be filled against me today and this guy "John Mason" said that if I didnt pay $1700.00 I'd have to go to court and pay $3389.00. I then gave them my cc info. I am so frustrated b/c they are harrasing me on my job, calling my family b/c I cancelled the credit card account. I now have an attorney on this matter as of this morning. I WILL be filing suit for harrasement and damages.

- Joni received the same type of call. they were going to serve me papers at work for legal action. i spoke with the FTC and they believe it is a scam, i was told they will run a credit check on you and look for late or outstanding debt and therefore appear to be a collection agency, they also will find personal info on you if you apply for a loan online.
i called them back to test them and asked for a physical address to make a payment and they hung up.
based on my conversation with the FTC here are somethings to be aware of with companies like this
would not send proof of debt
an attorney or collection agency must identify themselves this company would not tell me what business they were in
no physical address anywhere on the internet
no website
do not give them personal info or money- Caller: TR Discovery and Verification
- Danny replies to reddog| 3 repliesI spoke to John Mason to from Tr Discovery and he said I owe $ 3,306.16 but I was wondering how did he know all my info is and I just want to know if this company is a legit or not. He said also If I did not pay they will garnish my wages.
- FYI replies to Danny| 2 repliesFile a complaint with the Attorney General Office in California and the state you live in. Send them nothing and know your rights, they can not garnish your wages. I am in the process of suing them and I recommend you do the same, they are breaking every law. DO NOT LET THEM INTIMIDATE YOU, THEY ARE JUST SCUM. I will be posting the outcome of the lawsuit, stay tuned.
THEY ARE GETTING SERVED - Sue replies to FYI| 1 replyThe same thing happened to me today. I got a message about a complaint they were looking into and an important legal issue I needed to contact them about immediatly. I thought I was in some kind of trouble. I called the number they left and was transfered 3 times before I got that same John on the line. He wanted to put me on hold again and I said that I needed some information from them as far as what this is concerning and who they are and he got rude and said I was being curt and rude and I obviously wasnt interested in their settlement deal and they would just sue me and I would be served paperwork tomorow. Everything I asked past that point was I was wasting his time and wasnt ackownledgeing my debts or paying my bills. Very insultive. He said that they would garnish my bank account and wages and my personal assets. I asked if they would take my car. He said no they would just intercept my vehicle payments and take those. So today I pulled all of my money out of my bank account, huge inconvienence but I didnt know what to do just in case this is real I didnt want to pay my house payment and have them garnish my bank account and loose my house.
Does anyone know if they follow through on serving people or garnishing wages?
I'm very scared. - FYI replies to SueNo they don not then can not and what they are doing is illegal. I suggest to you to get an attorney ASAP, read through the information posted about this cmpany just google the number, you will get plenty of information as to who they are, file a complaqint with Attorney General in California and the state you live in. Get a lawyer they can be sued and served.
