    That explains it!  I've been trying to cancel my account because they pay every yoyo who charges renewal fees for stuff I didn't order or receive, (and I kicked one back)  then lock ME out of MY account because my phone number on record isn't in my name since it's a family mobile account. I don't keep a LAN line anymore. They demand I upload my photo id to them. Yeah, right.  Gee, they didn't require a phone in the name of the account holder in the past six years!

    Same! I called the number back and actually got PayPal. PayPal said they never called me.

    It is NOT paypal!!! It is a p aypal number, but the number is being cloned for a phishing scam! I called p aypal, and they said they have not called me.
