fake ass msg stating, "Our office has been retained to handle a pending legal matter attached to your name and driver license, please contact us at 888-985-4324. Thank you    LOL, we know that's a scam cuz that is not how legal matters are handled...via text message...LMAO

Stated they were with a law company. That they had a case that was going to be expedited to the local courthouse. The guy asked if my last four of my social was 6283 I stated no that was not my social and then stated my last four. Then stated that I could settle right now before going to court. When I stated well since I have no clue what this was about how about you send me the paperwork so I could verify it. Then the guy wanted me to give my email address to him and I said nope you can verify you have my correct address. bottom line he never gave my address. Then he hung up on me when I stated by law if I am going to court, I am supposed to have all the evidence you have against me. It's called discovery for a reason. That is when he got really upset and started becoming an [***] to me. I wasted his time by calling him 8 more times which he tried to put me on hold and not answer any questions nothing.

Called me stating my social was attached to a case for cash net that I never used told him this and he said it was $800 and I could settle for 600 and pay $30 a month has no respect or concern that I am a terminal cancer patient with 6 months left!!!

Stated they are with Hoffman Cohen & assoc. Also said every thing that had to do with law, taking you to court that everything needs to be resolved prior to court. Basically stating I owe money from a medical bill from 2011. If they are TRUE lawyers they should know it's against the law to call or communicate knowing a medical bill older than 5 years cant be collected. I gave them nothing and told them to not contact me via email or phone calls. Im contacting my lawyer and and they will be charging them 1500.00 per email and phone call.

I certainly hope that your lawyers didn't actually tell you that. I see nothing that says that it can only be collected for 5 years. Maybe you would like to show us that law? They would be suing under the fdcpa which does not have  a statutory amount based on "per infraction". Unless you live in Kentucky, they cannot legally sue you in any other state which means that they cannot also threaten you with a lawsuit. My suggestion would be for you to get an attorney that specializes in suing debt collectors.

They keep calling with the scam as others state. Only then called my grandmothers house so I answered said idk who you’re talking about. He responded with “you better not”… AH!
