I did not opt in for this. They messaged me and then my next bill there was a 10 dollar charge. Text stop immediately. It seems you do not have to reply or confirm to be charged.

i got a text giving some sort of advice - i have no clue who it's from. the number says 896-23. i just read above that it charges you to recieve messages from this number? i have not signed up with any services to receive text messages giving advice.

Dear Sirs:
I am writing to recover the cramming fees added to my cell phone bill without my authorization. As a senior citizen, I was unaware that companies could ad charges to my cell phone bill. I also, was using their paperless billing system. Because of what you did, I now get my bill in the mail so I can review what I am being charged for through my cell phone provider ATT.
Since January 2009, you billed my cell phone number 608-320-9322 for $89.91 for flirt one alerts (97310), $99.90 horoscope alerts (89623) and $39.96 for mobile messenger (91097). I was refunded $69.93 by ATT. Because I did not authorize you to charge my ATT cell phone, I ask that you refund the $159.94 that was not reimbursed by ATT.
I cancelled these services in November 2009, when I became aware of them.

Your cooperation in this matter will be greatly appreciated.
