this call shows up as +9000, +9006.  I haven't answered them to see what they are.  I've also been having calls from 0280199700 which ai also don't answer, as your site has identified them as scam calls.

i'm wondering if the 9000 ones are also a scam as they are showing up as such a weird number.

I received a call on my cell, and then my husband received one on his cell from this number. They said we lost our Washington Mutual debit card and to press one to be connected to fraud.

Washington Mutual has been closed and gone now for 2 years or more...

    FRAUD!!!!!

Received the call on 3-2-11, its some sort of scam, I don't have a Mastercard either.  There seems to be a number of these calls in the past 2 weeks in the Seattle area.

Just received a call in Las Vegas from "9000".   I answered and a automated message said that my mastercard account has be locked due to fraud and to press 1 to unlock.  I pressed 1 and then the automated message said to enter the mastercard number to reactivate or press 2 to disconnect.  I then hung up.  I called Verizon afterwards and they said that it was probably a third party company phishing for information and that recently our government has allowed international companies to market on US cell phone numbers.  I DO NOT WANT any commercials, advertising, telemarketing, or surveys on my cell phone!!!

Got a call from this number at 11:15 PM.  An automated line stated that my debit card had been locked.  It said to push 1 to unlock it or 2 to disconnect.  I just hung up.  I called my banks lost and stolen card line when I got to a secure land line and had them check my card and they told me that there were no blocks or messages associated with my card.  They informed me that this is a phishing scam to get credit card information.

I live in Indiana and recieved a call from this number a little bit ago.  It was saying that it was some sort of Credit Union and my card had been lost and to press 1 to be connected to security (or something of that sort).  I did not push anything and eventually the call just disconnected on its own.  I definately believe it's a scam of some sort...but it does sound legit.  I advise you to be careful and NEVER give out your information to random callers over the phone (if you do not already know this)!!!

I received a call at my job with "9000" on the caller Id box.  The man said that he was Officer Sargent Lt Jerry Cross and had a complaint against my social security #.  He wanted me to confirm the whole number and I would not.  I asked his title and name again and he (very strong mid eastern accent) spelled first name "JeRRRy"  (3 r's) I asked for his address where the "Legal" department was and he became very angry asking why...I advised that I was gonna google his company and validate that this was a real company....he became even more angrier stating that knowing his office address was none of my business.

I called the Social security and told of my call and she advised me to call Equifax.  I did just that I called Equifax and placed a code on my account so no one will be able to open accounts in my name.....

    This call was most disturbing.

Are you all on the Sprint network?  I never got these when I was with Verizon but it may be somthing new and happening with them too.  I'm with Credo Mobile. Hate this 9000 thing.  Want it to stop.  I am signed into the National "Do Not Call" list but that is not stopping this.

Wanderer - #ust dont give any details from any unknown numbers. Instead  take as much info as you can. Then cut off and call your bank and confirm about the message or call. This would help not only yourself but others too. I have not done it but will do so  in some time. Until then .... Be safe!!!

Today I received a call from 9006.  It was a man from India.  Had accent and very bad connection.  He said he was calling from a health agency and asked me if I use birth control (like it's any of his business).  He started rattling off birth control brand names.  I said no then hung up.
