They can say whatever they want, but the key thing is that they want you to click on the website which could do anyithing.  The number in the text could be bogus and merely a number they choose in your area just to think it is local.  I suspect the bnumber in the text iknows nothing abouti t.

I am getting calls from this number, but it shows on the phone as a local until I send a message can not talk then it shows local number is a landline,
Please investigate
Also getting calls from v72909191200000...same thing, comes up a local number

Spam text or poss FBI

Received call from +90 008 000 4222 and 847-618-6043, its scamers from Turkey . Person name is Ahmet Can , he was reported to the police and FBI

I text my friend and I get a message from this unknown number to approve forwarding my texts to whoever they are everytime... how do I stop the text!!!!!

I get calls all day

Today I got this as a text message saying it was a landline that I could get text messages sent to Voice Mail and then read back to me for $.25 a message

I’ve gotten a text from this phone number at top of my text message +90(008)000 42 22, but in text message it claims it wants me to call (508)389-1670
I know this is a scam will not reply to this
I blocked it on my phone

Don’t know why Verizon & the USA sells phone numbers to overseas con-artists and scammers

Please, DO NOT RESPOND TO THESE TEXTS THEY SEND

Don’t  want to find out who’s doing it by responding to it & don’t need them to put me on the list of people who responds to scammers

What makes you think that Verizon and the USA are involved? Why would you say the the USA "sells" phone numbers to begin with?

This number called me to say I had a freeze on my SS # and the police were on the way if I didn't give them info to help "clear" it up.  Naturally I messed around and gave false info and he was irritated and said he had plenty of guns and was going to come to my home and take care of it.

I receive 10 calls a day from this number and nobody answers

This number keeps texting me about a landline and wanting to charge me for the call. This is not a long distance call nor is the line out.
