got one earlier with a downloadable file. did a web search and found that other sites showed as scam. Blocked number

Got a message from this number with just the "download file" button, I had my data turned off at the time. When it downloaded it was just a promotional image and text from U.S. Cellular (who is my phone carrier)

I got the same msg today. I dont download anything if I dont know the sender. I immediately did a search and it led me here

got text message from this number. stated to download. Deleted without opening. I do have U.S. Cellular, as Alex in Jan 2019 also has. Would assume it was same information.

I received a multimedia text from 9009 just now. My phone can not receive multimedia texts. I texted back, "Who are you?" I received a message from US Cellular: "Thank you for your response. You will no longer receive any marketing msgs, but will still receive mandatory Regulatory or Legal msgs from U.S. Cellular."

I did the same, asking who the sender was - same response - US Cellular Marketing.

For me, it was a promotional text from U.S. Cellular, which is my carrier.

Call from 9009 on my google fi number

Number "+9009" and location came up as "Turkey".  I answered but the other end was silent then hung up.

Got a call from "+9009" at some point while i was at work. Didnt answer it since i didnt notice at the time that it rung.

This indeed being a promotional txt msg from US Cellular Corp. (Which was it'd within the txt msg) in regards to a free "redbox rental" accompanied by the promo code it stated to input at the redbox vending machine, incidentally, I was on the official us cellular website using the "mybill" official us cellular distributed application, later that day and there on the official website, there was a section/add banner stating that they were offering a free redbox rental to show appreciation to thier customers, due to the presence of this statement being posted on the official us cellular website that reflected the same expressed info in the txt msg I recieved, identified by the 9009 number as a sender I'd, I am forced to conclude, with comfort in the conclusion, that the txt msg was infact from us cellular, and the message was accurate/non fraudulent in nature and can infact be pursued as being genuine.

9009 came just now. Its from US Cellular. The latest text with download is about stopping robocalls with a 30day free trial of a premium app.

received text message from 900-9 regarding WiFi calling in my area and gave a link for set up instructions.  the link is for a http address though not https.

When I try to do a loan the ending number comes up 9009 I never had a phone number with this ending number

When you try to do a loan?  I'm afraid I don't understand your post?  Did you get a text message from this number?
