- Scott20:33 hours pacific standard time a call came from the same person as listed above. I have had the caller before. When I told him I did not own a desktop computer, or a laptop, he got very upset.
As everyone in our household has a cell phone we never use the home phone line. I know when it rings it's going to be fun. I have turned numbers in to the no call list, nothing happends. I guess it's like everything else. Honest people care, Dishonest don't.- Caller: 902.567.8434
- AshleyGot a call from this number, a man with an extremely heavy accent claimed he was with Information Technologies and that my computer line had been broken and I could get a virus. I told him our business has IT people that support us and we also have virus software and he said it has nothing to do with that. He tried to get me to open up Event Viewer on my computer, I hung up on him. He called back and I asked what company he was with, he said "the people who support Windows XP" didn't give me a name. I told him I don't want his help, my computer is not compromised and to stop calling. Hung up and he didn't call back.
- BobA guy with an Indian sounding accent called from 902-567-8434 and the display said Nova Scotia. Told me he was from Global Security Tech and working for Microsoft and that my PC had some virus and he was going to help me remove it. Wanted me to press the Windows key and the R key to tell him what I saw. Said that another technician would then be able to help me remove it. I told him to hold and did a quick search and found this:

Later I found this site which seems to confirm my suspicions.- Caller: Global
- MaLaCoiDMy friend in Arizona just got a call to go to login4speed.com. It is a scam. I found this on the 4th link searching for login4speed:

It links to this article:

The caller gave a return phone number of 877.623.9180. The caller ID came up as 902.567.8434
Even when we called them on being a scam, they denied it and gave her public address/phone number as some sort of confirmation.
I feel bad for people who panic and don't use google-fu!- Caller: SCAM

- HOT in AZWhat did he say? My computer has a problem? Please don't call meI am busy and screening calls just makes my day longer!! What is the scam? Did not give info. Called back a couple of days later: NO ANSWER HERE!!
- Caller: Log in speed??
- Not born yesterdayWhat a laugh. They told me they had information about my computer from Windows, and they were working for Windows (not Microsoft, mind you, Windows) They had me open up Event viewer to find all the warnings and errors in there. I kept them on the phone for 10 minutes, asking them who was their contact at Microsoft, and what information about my computer they had, and where they got it from. The whole time, it was we have information from logs, your computer is broken, you are not secure.
They offered the errors and warnings on my computer as proof that they had real data.
They eventually asked me to go to a website to allow a technician to connect to my computer and fix it for me. I can only imagine what they would have installed on it, and what information they would try to steal from the drive. I was laughing too hard to hang up.- Caller: Indistinguishable
- I Hate Scammersbut my wife answered anyway. fortunately she knows virtually nothing about computers and told the person on the other end to call back. I can't wait until he does, plan on having a little (a lot) of fun at his expense.

- KathyCall from this number received 6/27/11 4 p.m MST. Caller had such a thick accent that he was difficult to understand. Once I could decipher what he was saying, I told him I have a computer person to look into this for me (which I do). He just repeated his initial warning that I had some sort of virus and I repeated that I would look into it. He hung up.

- Ouija121085Same thing happened to me just 40 minutes ago. A guy with indian accent called me and said that he is calling from microsoft and that my computer had malware and viruses on it which made is slow.
Me smelling a rat and computers being one of my hobbies told him that i have antivirus and that my computer runs like a swiss clock. He then said that i cannot detect it but that malware is actually there. So i decided to play the game i asked him how he got my phone number and how he knows that my computer has malware? he then said that microsoft recieves this information and that when there are errors etc microsoft gains this info. Then i said that this is not possible since microsoft keeps these files confidential and that there is no way that he could have gotten my phone number and Information regarding my computer from microsoft which in case of errors with windows only gets the "code" of error and they fix it in next patch update which they release for download.
He then stopped talking for 3-4 seconds and continued to assure me that he is from microsoft and asked me to open control panel etc...then i cut him off told him that i have recorded his conversation, his phone number and location which am gonna reported to Australian Federal Police and that he is gonna end up in jail getting [***] in the [***] by buch of black men with [***] size of human leg.
He then "professionally" told me to [***] off and slammed the phone... hehe
Dont fall for these guys, same goes with some other guy that called me to tell me taht my bank account was paying to many fees and that he could help me fix my bank account. Again indian accent did not say his name, phone had bad reception and he called around 8:30PM!!! ... all banks and services close at 5:00PM. So dont fall for scams.- Call type: Telemarketer
- LisaWe were told that our computer was sending error messages to their server. My husband is a computer geek, so we played. First, we made them explain in excruciating detail how to do things like find the windows symbol and explain what it means to right or left click on the mouse. Then my husband started instructing me, having me ask very technical questions about IP numbers and routing stuff. They hung up on us. LOL!
