the owner of this company is albert t. escueta and he is filing bankruptcy on this company and is opening another one under a different name but the same collection tactics will be the same, how ever it must be explained to everyone out there who is in debt to a fincancial company and or payday loan company it is not against the law not to pay your bills and read your contract very well with the payday loan companies it says in plain black and white THIS IS NOT PUNISHABLE BY LAW so anyone that says they will put you in jail is full of crap so do not be intemmidated by these [***]

Anybody that gets a call from these people, please report them to the Federal Trade Commission and The Florida Attorney General. You can file complaints online at both places. The more people that complain the faster they will check into this company. So please, please, file a complaint.

Arelene Marshall called me as well and advised me I was going to jail- I got scared because I have three boys to take care of- I sent 200.00 through a money gram and didnt think anything of it- she calls me this month giving me totally different information to send my money to... and then my common sense finally kicked it in... She was from Lawson and Marshall now she is calling me from NCP? She said they moved to the corporate office. Whem I called the number I had for her last month the number was wrong. She threatend jail time but was very helpful she got super defensive when I started asking questions such as : where is my reciept in writing stating I paid, where is a letter confirming my payment arrangements, what is her address she REFUSED any of that inforamtion. SHe didnt even have a PO BOX they stated it was for security purposes. I called an attorney and they said not to send these people anymore money because this is fraud- I feel so stupid that I didnt look into this sooner and got so scared I sent money to them when I couldve paid another bill... I was soppose to be arrested today however Im still here-Please dont send thse people money- they are changing their names and numbers and their money gram info so that we cant trace anything back to them... this is fraud

I have been getting calls from the same #, 904-418-5000.  They have left me and my boss messages about a pending case that I MUST take care of today or face legal trouble and wish me good luck.  When talking with them today he threatened legal action against me if I didn't take care of this by end of day today at my home or work.  I told him to do what he needed to do, then got nervous.  After researching and finding this information I feel much better.  I have contacted the FTCC website and the Florida AG.  Thank you so much for supplying this information.

I have a question.  I do owe Ace Cash Express $768.  I tried working a payment plan out with them and when I told the lady I had $50.00 in my purse at that exact moment she rudely told me that was not her problem and hung up on me.  Now were with this company.  He stated that I had a hot check for over $500.00 and that it was a criminal in Texas.  Below is what I found for Texas law on checks over $500.00.  But I did not physically write them a check, it was a debit from my bank account, which I did close.  Am I in legal trouble now?  I was talking to a bankruptcy attorney at the time that told me to close it before it got out of control with fees but I did not actually file bankruptcy.

Texas. Up to 2 years in county jail or up to $1,000 or both. 30 days to 2 years in jail and up to $1,000. Two to 10 years. Holder of bad check may charge obligor with any additional processing fees.

Just wanted to let you know that it is not considered a "bad check" but a loan. These people scared me into paying them too, which I did. Do not pay them! Tell them you know what company they are and you are taping them. I would really get a tape recorder and catch them on tape and then sue them for violating the consumer protection laws.

Remember debt collectors can not call your job that is against the law..... you and your boss need to file a complaint with the District Attorneys office.

I got a call from 1-904-418-5000 ext. 154 or 145.... his name Mike Bowers. He left a message that sounded like he wanted to help my brother and know his legal rights. Before I called I did a google number search and found out it was a collecter. The collecter also knew my name. So, called back and asked how he got my name and number, he fumble a second and said" they put it on there", So I asked " who are they", He replied " your brother", so the smartbutt I am I said" they is more than 1, my brother would be correctly pronounced him." I told him" my brother will call you monday ", he said " that might be too late". Then, I proceeded to tell him not call my phone again, he replied" OR WHAT OR WHAT", so I told him call and find out and to flip off < used the other word>. So, the number popped up again... so I am going to call back requesting a supervisor, and that my number removed from the list.

Wow these people are too much.  I was just visited by a neighbor I've never met saying a woman named "Ashley Davis" called her saying she is currently working on a deal with me and has some paper work for me but lost my number.  Said she tracked her down through the white pages because she has my address and knows we're neighbors.  Well if she has my address and we're supposedly working on some deal why can't she send me written documentation????

She says the lady wouldn't leave a company name but the phone number was 904-418-5000.  Smelled like a scam so I googled it and found this thread.
