They call me once a week, saying they're from a law office. They say that Rogers sent my bill to their collections office. I told them "Oh yeah? How do I know this is not a scam? Do u think I'm just going to give out my credit card number to pay my bill?" And the guy said "Write down this number, call Rogers and confirm that this is true. I will call u again tomorrow".

He never called back!

they called me too this morning early at 9am, asking for my birthdate to confirm and whether I recieved a brown envelope in the mail. Whether or not i said no. I also have 1-866-988-0885 call me everyday as well as 'unknown numbers' and 'private numbers'. I do owe a cable company just under $1000, and they outsource their deliquent customers after a while. This allows anyone else to set up shop and say they are collecting on their behalf. This has got to stop. I wonder if they will call me on Christmas too?

"My mother just got ANOTHER call from these people.  I was livid and called the law firm and gave them s**t.  I have also called CRTC - DO NOT CALL LIST (her number was registered) and reported them 1-866-580-3625,then called PHONEBUSTERS - THEY DEAL WITH FRAUDULENT PHONE CALLS 1-888-495-8501 and will be calling THE LAW SOCIETY OF UPPER CANADA 1-800-668-7380 shortly to report them. PLEASE - anyone who gets calls from these morons report them to ALL 3 instituions. Unfortunately, they have probably ripped off countless people and it needs to stop."

Stop calling me...some law office saying it is urgent and asking for somebody by the name of "John Albert"!! There is no John Albert who lives here!!! I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo fed up with those people!

Natale law office works typically for a debt acquisition/collection agency

They attempt to intimidate people into paying statute barred and/or alleged debts.
if they had recourse you would have been served.

Send a registered letter to Natale Law office telling them not to call as per the collections act.
log all calls after they receive the letter and file a complaint with consumer protection services against them.

it wouldn't hurt to let them know you also intent to bill THEM for each unsolicited call.

it wouldn't hurt to note you will hold them responsible for harassment if this is not conveyed to future acquisition companies.

if the file with your information is sold, they will typically start harassing you all over again

Being a law firm (and i use the term loosely) they are well aware that this is harassment.
I received a draft statement of claim from them regarding an alleged debt and was informed by the court that this is a prohibited practice. They are either to file a claim or not, sending out draft claims is an attempt at intimidation.

I keep getting calls every other day from this phone number and they keep leaving messages for "JOHN ALBERT" and asking me or whomever JOHN ALBERT is to call them back at some Natalie Law Firm.  PLEASE STOP CALLING ME!

I get called several times a day from 905-413-8811 they are looking for a person that I do not even know. They tell me to return the call at 1-800-234-1834 and then when I call they ask for a case number and they did not leave me a case number.

When you call them back all you get is an answering machine. I suugest that we all call the toll free number and talk for as long as the machine allows and then hang up and call them back again. I have called the Canada toll free number several times and left "babbling" messages for at least 10 minutes before the machine quits.
They are calling my business for someone that had this phone number before me, over 7 years ago. I have had collection companies call before and asked them to take my phone number off this guys record because it is a business phone and they usually remove it but then each time his account moves on to a new collections agency they start all over again. What frustrates me is that this is an endless circle because they do not answer their phones. There should be a law against then being able to call any time of the day or night 10-12 times a day.

I hate this number because of I am getting 2 times per day for past 3 months.

I called them back on their 866 # from a payphone, so nothing can be tracked or charged back to me.

When they answered, I just said I was calling in response to their message, then hung up.
I called again a minute later, and started a conversation then just left the phone hanging.
Call again, speaking in some made up language.
Call again, and I asked the guy how annoying is it to get nuisance phone calls?

Repeat until you get bored. It's great fun and it costs them money every time you call.

I've recently rented a suite that came with a new phone line. Since arriving, this phone # calls at least once a day. Today I picked up and held down the zero key on my keypad. I could hear two guys in the background laughing and saying "she must be pissed off". Then they disconnected the call, and called back three more times where the same thing occurred.

I've now registered with the Do Not Call registry: https://www.lnnte-dncl.gc.ca/cofi-fico-eng.

Hopefully that makes these knobs leave me alone. They don't want me, they want the last owner of the phone # I've sadly been assigned.

I have gotten 2 mails from them claiming i have to pay them or i will go to court to settle something.
for a rogers account i dont even owe anything on ,cause i have never had one. i stupidly left my name and a msg to say what the fu....k.
I hope i dont get harassed by them with 10 calls a day, that may suck alot lol

The Collection Agencies Act prohibits collection agencies from doing certain things.

The Ontario Ministry of Government Services consulted the collection industry to develop a standard to be followed by all collectors. Having a standard also allows the public to have a better understanding of what collection agencies can and can't do.

The regulations forbid collection agencies from:

contacting you until six days have passed from sending you written notice of the following: • the name of the creditor • the balance owing • the name of the agency and its authority to demand payment
continuing to contact you if you did not receive the notice unless a second copy of the written notice is sent to an address provided by you, and then contact may only be made six days after sending notice;
contacting you if you send a registered letter to the agency saying that you dispute the debt and suggest the matter be taken to court;
contacting you if you or your lawyer notify the agency by registered mail to communicate only with your lawyer, and you provide the lawyer's name, address and telephone number;
contacting you on Sunday, except between the hours of 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., and on a holiday;
