called me 3-4 times already and this is just today. then left me a voice message - some company called "just energy" - some scam

To address previous posts, yes...this is an energy retailer from Ontario.  They have about 6 different phone numbers (that I've seen so far), and I've learned your request not to be called needs to be added to each of their lines...at least with them I've been having to.

They didn't bother me until I decided not to renew my energy contract with them.  This was a joke all in itself as they didn't want to give me a confirmation number or ANYTHING to verify my request.  Now, as the rest of you...I'm getting about 5 calls a day.  These are Sunday thru Saturday, from 8am to 10pm.  Even though I've asked not to be called, they've ignored me.  

Secondly, along with the calls is the actual 'home visits' to try and have me sign on with them again.  Definitely crossing the boundaries here.

How stupid are these people, I already have an account with them and they are calling me to solicit my business.  The rares are locked in and very good but if they keep this up I will just cancel their service and deal with someone else who is more responsible.

I received this call today & could not hear any one on the other side. I did some research on this number & saw so many comments.
If you want to lose your time, do not lose other people's time.

To all the people posting about this number that already have accounts with Just Energy, you may want to call them back. It could be that your account is up for renewal, or some other reason. They have a strict policy that if someone asks to be added to their no call list, they have to follow it, as well, they have a no solicitation list you can be added to. Their number is 1-866-587-8674.

They get your number when you post a resume on monster or workopolis, they're trying to offer you one of those scammy jobs where you sell energy to people. Ignore the call.

I had the same thing....I answered it was dead air and then a heard someone laughing and saying.....did you take my pencil? I wish these people would stop calling.....ANNOYING!

They call me several times a day, when I say TAKE ME OUT OF THE SYSTEM they hang up, very rude operators

Someone from this number called me last night, saying they were from Just Energy.  They were calling to inform me that I owed a penalty for cancelling my contract with them.  I quickly told the idiot that I had not cancelled my contract with them.  To this, he said he would reinstate me and there would be no charge.  What a crock of #%@&!  I will be calling Just Energy's 1-800 number shortly to enquire about this.

The company that calls from this number is called "Just Energy".  Chances are that they are calling you in order to get you to sign up with their company for energy services.
