asks for you by name- when you say yes, he hangs up. They want your "yes" recorded for some evil purpose.

This is another one that calls on a regular basis. Sometimes there's someone there, and says nothing or it just hangs up when u respond. Nothing good about it one way or the other.

Corbin is not my real name. Unknown male called around noon, asked for me by name and when I identified myself he hung up and never called back. 905 481-3524 was the number that showed up on the caller ID.

Caller identified himself and with a charity (can't remember which one) and when I interrupted him saying "before you continue" he hung up.

They asked for my name too, then immediately hung up.

I want this number to stop calling me.

The first called,he ask for the owner.and i ask who are u calling from then he hang up. A fews day later the second call ask for the owner,and then i ask him who r you then He replied me ,He is a police associate.

He called at 04:20 pm and and asked for me by last name. Then, upon hearing me saying "Yes'', he hanged up immediately! I will block this number!

Called with my full name at the ready, claiming to be a police charity buying toys for children of families who have lost an officer/parent in the line of duty.  Said I donated $20 last year and asked if I'd repeat my donation.  Really not sure I've donated previously.
I get a lot of calls from entirely fake charities.  My name and number is on a list somewhere.  The "support us again this year" when I never have is a tactic I hear a lot.

1-905-481-3524 calls me on my land line 2 or 3 times a day. They just called twice in a 30 minute span. I live in Canada. Anyone know how to block them from calling me ? Thanks

This is not a fake agencie or anything corrupt like everyone on here seems to think..it's a Third Party agencie that calls previous donors on behalf of that the person they are calling donated to at one point in their lives..the name is HCB Canada and they are not doing anything wrong..they are legally allowed to call people who have made a donation to a charity whether it was 10 years ago or 1 so if you have made a donation to a charity and left your number or contact information they are simply calling you to ask for your support/ a donation once again..instead of assuming or speaking ill of nothing you know about clearly, instead, answer the phone and ask politely to be put on the do not call list, otherwise they will keep calling..if they call and hang up when you answer, don't panic..call them back and tell them to be put on the do not call list or ask what charity they are calling on behalf of, call that charity and tell them to put you on the list..no point in freaking out, I get there a lot of scams but this isn't one..also if you really want to tell if a place is actually a scam, when they call you ask them for your personal Donor ID Number..this will be on personal mailings from a charity that you've given too, the donor id will be on these mailings and if the person on the line cannot provide you this number or it doesn't match the one on the mailings it's a scam..if they can and it does match it is not..scammers make it very difficult for charities to raise money for support so of course you must be careful but there is no need to get rude or mean just because you are confused and don't understand..now you understand and can go on with your life peacefully

It has been a couple of times seeing this number on my phone display...I never pickup the phone call from this unknown caller.  Today is April 25, 2019.

I have received numerous call from this fake number.  No message ever left.  This is a scam number.  Do not answer.

If this were the case, why do they continue to call when i've asked them not to call?  I do not for a minute think this a legit call, sorry to disagree.  I refuse to do telephone solicitation, but it is disturbing when calls continue....grrrr.

I got a call today. It might be from some police association who seeks donation for kids

Called me, asked if this was Juli, when I said "That's me," he hung up. Guess he was upset I didn't say "yes"?
