Received voice message from a person claiming to be calling on behalf of CIBC. I have never ever banked or held a cibc account let alone a cibc credit card.

Had a call from this number this morning. The name on call display was 'Potential Fraud'. I picked up, no one answered. Waited for about 20s and the line hung up. Very suspicious.

Call back does get, Collections for CIBC. She said the name of the company and I think it was D&J or D&A Group; Couldn't quite understand.  According to Search Assist, CIBC uses several different agencies for collections.

It's always possible that some scammer is spoofing the number so if you think you have "business" with this organization call using the published number on the website or the number on your card.  If you are called in error, you can let them know that and it should stop the calls.
