I have gotten daily calls on my cellphone from this number. When I answer no one is there. I called it back and it is my own cellphone company!! I was unable to  reach a real person so  I went to their office and told them about it. Later they called again and this time I caught the call. I told them not to call again. Hopefully they'll stop calling my husband's phone on the same account.

I also receive calls from this number on a frequent basis.  Did they call you again AK girlie?

I've received two calls from this number and recognizing it as my cell phone provider I answered and was surprised when no one responded.

They've been calling me for weeks.  No one on the other line.  Didn't realize it was ACS until now (the number matches the contact number on their website).  I plan to contact someone tonight about this.

I received a call from this number today at 7:30 pm and yesterday at 6:30 pm.
First call I answered with no answer, second call I didn't answer. They left no voicemail.

I have rec'd calls from this number at least once per day (one day it was twice), about the same time each day for the last 7 days.  The first few days it was noted as "private" on my cell phne.  Now that I know the number and that it belongs to my cell service provider I will contact ACS.  Thanks for the info.

They've been calling me every day too. I called them back(It was also ACS) to ask why, and when I finally got a person on the phone they looked at my account and told me there was no reason for them to be calling me (and hanging up on me) every day, except for that "the new iphones are coming out."

I got one today too, looked it up, and I believe its ACS.  Since when do they have permission to just call us?  I know I got calls from them twice in ONE day when I called about my account and some questions trying to make sure my daughter got a phone, which I told THEM I would have HER call them.  Weird, huh?

I have received calls from this number and I never gave an agree  :-ment for my number to be given out.   :-\

To put your minds at ease, this is Alaska Communications' Anchorage office, but the promotions department (outbound call center) shares this number. There are no scams here; it is all legit (I'm actually an employee who calls from this number). The reason you don't always hear anyone on the other end is because the dialer automatically calls you, then connects us after you answer, so there's a delay. I promise you if you give us a few seconds, we'll answer.

Should have added, if these calls bother you, just ask us to put you on our Do Not Call List; we're legally obligated to stop calling you =)

Your calls are pure SPAM to me. Stop it!  You are making ACS a vendor which I am learning to NEVER use!

I don't have control of who we call or when. I'm just an employee. You'd have to take that up with the office.

You don't have to give permission for anyone to dial your number.
Anyone with any phone in any part of the world can dial the matching numbers in a row and make your phone ring.
Even if you're unlisted or on a do not call list, people can still call you.
The only thing the Do Not Call list does is create a directory that telemarketers are asked to use.
They are required to add your number if you ask, but there is no law stating they have to use the list.
