I don't know who the hell is calling me, maybe a fu&*&^% who wants my children with my ex-husband... I'm fu*&^% tired of this people.......LEAVE ME ALONE !!!!!

They are a subsidiary of Convergys Corporation who handles Dell accounts (and others). What you need to do is write them a letter telling them to cease and desist all phone calls to your number (and list your number in the letter). Send the letter by certified or registered mail (the one that requires a signature and you receive a receipt back showing proof that they got it). After they receive that letter, they can no longer legally call any number(s) you list in that letter.

I get a call from this number 4-5 a day at my job and when I answer they hang up.  I tried calling it back and it's a busy signal every time.

they are a collection agency, before it is charged off. mine was for bernies (ge money bank) i think all different companies use them.

I have been getting a dozen or more calls each week from this number. Half the time nobody is on the line when I answer. The rest of the time they ask for "Daniel". There is no Daniel in my household. I have tried to call them back at the number on Caller ID. It is constantly busy...they are making more calls to harass others. Then I found their toll free number (877-409-2110) for Encore Recovery Management Inc. and asked three times now, to take my number off their lists. The last time I spoke with Brandon, who assured me my number would not be called again. They called Sunday morning and woke me up. ERMI is a collection agency for Dell Computer. I never bought anything from Dell (nor will I with their offshoring of thousands of American jobs). I am on the do not call list for Christ's sake! What good does it do?! My next call will be to the FCC to report these dishonest liars. I suggest you call them too.

These people are calling my neighbors and family members discussing my private business.  These people have got to stop!

908-854-1973 called asking for my father by first and last name and they said they are related to my father.  The woman said she was Kathy and then my father's last name.  So I asked who his father was she didn't know.  My father does have a Dell account so that explains that.  Shame on Dell for hiring such a crappy company.

ERMI calls me three or four times each day asking for someone that doesn't live at this number, and never has. I have asked repeatedly that they stop calling. They don't. Here's a few ways to fight them. Number one: DO NOT buy a Dell computer, or ANYTHING from Dell because they are the primary customer of ERMI (and also a major outsourcer of American jobs). Number two: Take it higher up, to their parent company, Convergys Management Corportation. If you think of something else, don't hesitate to call them back. Call them as much as they call you. Don't give them any information. Do all the talking and then ask them a question that will tie their tongues for a second. I asked them who I needed to talk to and sell stock. When they asked why, I pointed out it dropped almost 50% over the past year, and I suggested they google ERMI or their multitude of phone numbers, and see what the world thinks of them. You could also ask for the name(s) of the CEO and Vice CEO. When they ask why, tell them you need it to properly fill out your FCC report for harassing phone calls. Or, you can say you need it to fill out paperwork for the lawyer you hired to fight harassing calls. Be creative. Don't hesitate to act. Many innocent people are being harassed by ERMI and they simply will not stop. If you are one of the poor riftraft slobs who slaves for ERMI, do yourself a favor and become a slave at WalMart or McDonald's - these companies suck too, but believe me, you'll be moving up in the world.

These guys call me at least 5 times a day and for 3 days staright when I answered hey hang up. The next call I received someone actually said 'Hello' and I immediately told them to stop calling. They continue to call & hangup 5-10 times a day. With the information provided by this site, I called and filed a complaint with FTC and Attorney General. Fortunately, all my incoming calls are logged and downloadable, so I sent that along with my complaints.

I do have a Dell, but I have never heard of Encore nor received anything from them. And based on how they call and hang up, I wouldn't deal with anyway!!

These guys are either idiots or unprofessional to constantly call and hang up!! I would suggest that anyone that have problems with stupid collectors like this to just report them to them FTC and Attorney General.
