Got 4 calls and no one there

I have been called from this number multiple times of the past 10 days and nobody is ever on the line when I pick up. I called my phone company and they said there is nothing they can do. I signed up on the do not call list but still seem to get the call. My phone company suggested calling the police if it continues.

Called from 7146479600/CAlifornia and said he has $5000.00 from Federal Grant Money and wanted to verify my Name, address and dob. Then wanted last 4 digits of SS#. I stopped right there and told him if he had money for me to send it to me by cerified mail. He then said all I need is to confirm SS# and he would send check and all I had to pay was shipping and handling charges to release check. I said good bye and please do not call back. Then when he called back it was the 9100000000 number. He asked why I was a stupid MF and I said I don't do scams. He then told me to go crawl back up my mothers p***y you stupid MF. I told him I was 48 yrs old and my mother was dead and then I hung up. Why and how do these people call when I am on the DO NOT CALL List. Another failed government tactic that has not worked since I registered all my numbers. How do we stop this stuff ? ? ?

I got 5 calls form 910-000-00000 and they said they were a law agency looking for some on I know. I could tell they were a collection agency and said they were going to sue me if I didn't give up the information. I asked them for their number and they gave me 704-554-4835.

You guys are confusing area code 910 (Wilmington, NC) with the international calling code 91 (India). These are people in India using caller ID block (their number shows up with the international code followed by ten zeros...or eight if your display truncates). All you can really do is ignore them or else they'll keep harassing you.

I have been receiving the same call since august and also this afternoon its the voice of a indian man who is very rude and is saying that he is going to turn me over to the courts lol!!!

Thanks to "common sense" above, yes the calls are comming from India. To those who don't understand why you get calls when your number is unlisted or you get calls to your cell, call centers use computers to dial the numbers. They want their people busy all the time. It's a business after all. Also when you answer and no one is there it's because the software dials numerous calls for every rep they have working (25-1 sometimes) and they take the first answer and if all the other reps are busy the call is abandoned. They probably are dealing with success rates of less than 1% so they have to dial thousands of calls to be viable whether it's a legit business or a phishing (scam) call like this # is.

The guy that called said his name was John Hunt from the Dept of Crime Prevention. Said authorities were on the way to pick me up and I had court today @ 1. Said that I had taken an internet payday loan of $300.00 that I hadnt paid off.  I called my bank and they saw nothing.  I also called the sheriff's dept and the police dept. The guy had a deep foreign voice and was very demanding. Plus he had all my info.

I continued to get this call.  Until yesterday, nobody was ever there.  When I answered last night, they knew my first and last name.  This really unnerved me.  I called my cell carrier Verizon and they were able to block the number.  Good luck.  Call your carrier and ask them to block the number for you.

rec'd a call from this number but did not answer-I am on the do not call list as well.

Just received the call and of course no message was left.  The number look crazy and I have been using whocallme.com  for about a week and checked it out to see who on earth has a number like that and now I see all of the comments.

I received a call from a 9100000000 number a couple of days ago and then twice today.  I answered the second one but no one spoke - I did hear talking in the background.  Since i was expecting a call about a sick relative I called the number right back and the recording states the number was not in service.  Then I remembered hearing about 910 numbers and panicked that I had done something very wrong.  I called my phone company immediately who posted it on my account.

910 is the area code for North Carolina (one of them anyway), so this number in itself isn't sinister.  But the all zeroes is kinda strange.  I got the call this morning and answered it anyway; same as most people, nobody there....

MOST RECENTLY THE NUMBER 910-000-0000 HAS BEEN CALLING MY HOME PHONE.  THIS HAPPENED ABOUT 3 TIMES.  JUST NOW IT CALLED AGAIN.  I ANSWERED AND THEY HUNG UP.
I AM THINKING A "SCAM".  I AM ALSO THINKING SOMEONE WANTS TO KNOW WHEN SOMEONE IS HOME OR NOT.  LOOKS LIKE THE POLICE DEPARTMENT CANNOT DO ANYTHING.  SEEMS AS THOUGH THE FCC "COULD!"  PERHAPS WE SHOULD ALL CONTACT OUR CONGRESSMEN AND TELL THEM HOW WE FEEL ABOUT CALLS LIKE THIS.  I KNOW I AM.

I have received several calls from 910000000000; I did not answer and no voice mail was left. The person is calling my work phone number.

i receive call from this number and he calls himself a gangster its a prankster who calls and terrifies people

i just got this call and it was an american sounding woman asking if (my name) was available. i told her no and that i could take a message. she said she was calling from (my bank name). i called the bank back and they dont have anyone by that name

For the last 2 days these scammers @ 910-000-0000 have been calling my phone...
number alone screams "red flag". I blocked it.  they are simple-minded idiots.
