Recieved call from 910-354-1795, on 12/30/2010 3pm subject identified himself as Mike, with the Cumberland County Firefighter Association.  He went on to say that the association was raising funds to help the fire departments in Cumberland County NC to fund programs that tax dollars does not fund.  Such as, going to schools for teaching children what to do in a fire and to buy smoke detectors to pass out in the communities.

I asked him which fire department he was with and he stated that he was not with a fire department but that his association raises to assist the fire departments.  He also went on to tell me that he knew it was around Christmas Time and that people were short on cash but most people were giving $25.00 and could he count on me for the same amount.  I told him to send me the material and I would see.  (trying to find out if he had my address) he said that he could not do that because of the expense of postage.  I told no I was not interested but the FEDS might be.  He hung up.

the phone call came in today at 3 pm.  I didn't hear the phone ring because I was listening to my I pod, and when I did hear it they had already hung up,so I called the number back and no one answered.

12:36 Jan. 12th, 2011 when this call came, no message was left.

Got a call from that number today and when I answered they hung up. I have called the number back and it just rings and rings then goes to a busy signal.

Got a call from this number today at 1:11pm. They hung up as soon as I said hello. Tried to call back, was busy, so I keep trying. Did get through and all it did was ring. I don't know who it was. My caller ID said Fayetteville NC.

I did not answer, they did not leave a message.  They have called me before but it's been a while since the last call.  I live near Fayetteville, NC and Caller ID said Fayetteville call.

actually it does happen a lot and it's called disposable cell phones which are untraceable back to a single person..........stop trying to be a dick

Be careful, call the Sherrif and complain, maybe if enough of us do, they will do something. We have had dirty calls, and calls where there is nothing.

I just recieved a call from that number too at 3:13 pm... by the time I answered they hung up already. This isn't the first time that number has called my house either, I believe one time when I was at home and did get someone on the other line, I think they were like what some of the other people have said, something to do with firefighting. Anyways I thought I would punch in the these numbers on the computer.. and I couldn't believe how many people all over NC have gotten this call from the same number!!!

This number continues to call my house at different times of the day. When you pick up and say hello they hang up on you and when you call it back it's either busy or you get no answer. It really annoying.

Got 4 phone calls from this number starting mid Jan---random times of the afternoon.  Didn't answer and they didn't leave a message.  I called it back and it rang quite a few times then went to a fast busy signal.  Blocking the number so it will go straight to voicemail.

I filed an FCC Complaint as an "abandoned call."

He calls here nearly every day.  We've told him not to call back.  I answered a few times myself.  Once he heard it was a man he hung up.

Are people still getting calls from this number?  I have gotten 2 and both times a hang up.

Recived a call from this # at the time I was unable to answer it, but they didn't leave a voicemail.  But when I called back it kept ringing, and didn't go to voicemail.  Called a secondtime nobody answered, and it was busy..

I also received a call from this number today. I don't answer anymore because they have called more than five times and all they do it hang  up. I be so glad when they catch these people, because my home has been broken into two times in the last two years. And they never caught anyone for the crime. People be careful this is nothing to take lightly.

I have been call for about a week, but just like everybody else, I call back and nobody answer. This number is already reported to the police. Who ever it is, is just a matter of time

This people maybe calling the house to see is someone in. That way they got an idea of when to hit, they could be watching also, so be malicious and trust no one. Do like me, protected by H&K.

This guy called friday and then again today at noon exactly!  same as all of you have said...first time no message, today i picked up and he said "Hi Mrs..... this is Matthew Barnes with the Fire Department and they are having a safety drive..."  I said i was not interested and hung up....when i did a phone number search, i was shocked to see how many people have had this happen to....of course i have reported this to the local sherriff and so on..
