- peter6565| 1 reply9112 is calling my phone when I am abroad and charges me to my t-mobile account total time use ;1306 SECONDS AND 2.56 pounds
- gambry replies to peter6565it seems the "charging system" for abroad fees. If someone calls you and you are abroad, the cost (by your side) is identified using that number on the calls report list.
- cobre5Have received 3 charges on my phone from 9112 for calls received but I have never answered any unknown numbers although Virgin Media through ATT in USA have charged this to my account

- izaqiguil| 1 replyMy phone is in Thailand with my daughter and the phone has racked up nearly £40 on PAYG in these 9112 call charges in just a week . She had not received or made any such calls. Have complained to t-mobile and is to be investigated though I believe a refund is on the way . The point is that if the call is not answered how can I be charged - this is obviously a scam . Initially t-mobile said it was a local operator - then the stated it was a t-mobile operator number , and my final push they said it was an Adult chatline ....... it changed everytime I spoke to them. The funny thing is I am in UK and i topped up the phone the same days that these calls were billed ...... I have other suspicions : as the times of these seems to coincide with me contacing t-mobile customer services in UK (locally) partly because the top-ups were disappearing !!! Ultimately t-mobile seem to be doing the right thing - but lack of transparency about the processes leaves me feeling like its going to keep happening.
- Caller: unknown
- izaqiguil replies to izaqiguilThe saga goes on - after offering to submit a refund request t-mobile now say the calls were valid and they wont refund the call The calls were to customer services calls - as I thought. They were to top up the phone which then ran out of credit because they charged for these calls. The point is they were not made from the mobile abroad but from UK . If you call customer services using another phone under some circumstances Tmobile seem to be billing the mobile number at international rates assuming its coming from that handset . Thats my suspicion - I cant prove it - but the timings are so coincidental and no other calls were made. Who in their right mind would call and hang on to cistomer services for several minutes knowing it was an international call....So I have insisted they produce the supporting Thai call records. The customer service agent (manager !) said they could not tell what country the call was made in from those records....hmmm think he needs training ...If they cant tell the country how do they know where the call was made.... Of course it has now gone to the back office and I will never know who to speak to next ....Off to write a letter of formal complaint as formal e-mails don't work - they store them for 7 days and just tell you to logon and look at the call records ignoring any questions....Thats modern customer service centres for you !
- jabba1234Unfortunately I am not a T-Mobile employee but I am interested in your problem.... can I confirm that:
- The T-Mobile Number was abroad (phone x)
- You had another number still in the UK (phone y)
...and you were topping up phone x from phone y
The charge for this call then showed up on phone x's bill as a call recieved whilst abroad? - Paul GillHave had 3 calls from 9112.

- PeterJ| 1 replyI've run out of credit on PAYG on EE supposedly receiving these calls in Australia on holiday.. One cost £10.00, but nothing on my incoming call record. Is this EE is stealing money as 'customer service' and surely this must be fraudulent or is someone else with a grudge draining money from account? Do I have to switch off the phone to stop it? Advice please? .
- Caller: EE
- GinaB replies to PeterJI am having exactly the same problem with EE. I am living in the USA but I am British so I spend a fair amount of time in the UK every year so I keep a PAYG UK number for use when in the UK. However whilst I am in the USA (which is most of the year) every week or so there is a call to 9112 that I am charged £1 each time, they typically show as 5 to 7 secs in duration. Every single time this has occurred the phone is off, so no call has been made or received. Customer service for EE which I have to call on a work phone to avoid ridiculous charges has so far refunded these charges (£6 in the last 30 days). Every time they claim I am calling customer services but they have yet to explain how I can do that when the phone is off and I am asleep. I do not have 20 mins to waste calling them for a difficult conversation every two weeks, they always say I am breaking up on the phone at there end but I can hear them perfectly, if not always understand them with their strong accents. This is fraud plain and simple. I will be moving back to the UK later this year and I will get a different provider as this is unacceptable.

- Annoyed ninja9112 calls yes I am abroad and no I did not receive that call but I logged onto my account online to see that they keep taking 1 GBP everytime this not existent call is being made. Oh this is with Virgin Mobile. And if I call VM it will cost me money. The call duration is 3 seconds long according to my online account! Strange and annoying as now I have no PAYG credit to receive important phone calls/messages from family.
