Calls early in the morning and often.  Once I just hung up and they called right back.

Oh you can really do a mind f**k with these dolts.  Call them back.  You will get endless phone trees and menus, but if you keep pressing non-existent options you will eventually get a real person.  And, that person will probably (like my experience) be someone from New Dehli.  I had the greatest time tonight.  Almost had this Indian dude in tears, and I was so polite.  I told him I wanted my number removed from his call list...kept asking me for my name (not necessary) my account number (don't have one) my SS# (is he nuts?) and other non-essential information.  The key is to keep asking THEM the questions like, WHAT credit card company (he claims his business is a collection agency for A credit card company) that they can't answer and before they have an opportunity to move to the next question on their script, ask why they need personal information to remove you from the call list.  And again, before they have an opportunity to ask the next scripted question, ask another inanne question of your own.  The idiot finally got so frustrated (I'll admit he was polite) that he said he had to end the call.  I didn't hang up and moments later, "hello?  hello?  This call will disconnect in 5 seconds if you don't hang up.  Which of course I didn't.  5 seconds later, "hello? hello?"  I loved it.

This is World Financial Capital Bank. They recently bought out my Home Shopping Network credit card from HSN. I could no longer log into my credit card account to make my payment because of the change.  Therefore, my payment was late.  It was a whopping amount of $19.00 that became past due.  They called my home 18 times in 5 days, sometimes past 9PM.  When I would try to answer, it would be a recording or nothing at all.

every day of the week every few hours. If you do speak to them they are insistent and rude and will not leave you alone!

These people are blowing up my phone!!!  They are calling constantly - ALL Frickin' Day!  I have no dealings with them at all.  I had to google their number to see what the heck was up!  I wish they would leave me alone or I will report them to the Attorney General's Office in my state.

This is World Financial. They are a credit card collection agency. I have an account with Pottery Barn that became past due and they call all damn day. I had to change my number.

I received 4 calls today.  Twice no one would speak so I hung up.  Twice they asked to speak to my mom.  They called her name.  I told him I was her daughter and would speak for her.  Theyu became very indignant, said they could only speak to her about 'business'.  My mom is 89 and gets confused when she doesn't understand what people are saying to her so I usually listen and tell her what the person is saying.  They absolutely would not speak as long as I was on the line.  So I told them they would have to put it in the mail so I could read it to her and she would get an understanding.  They said they could not speak as long as I was on the line and hung up.

I too get calls and they got my cell number - but how?  I answered today and they said "personal" call and that I gave them the cell number and then I said no did not and refused to talk to them further unless they identified themselves and they would not - now at home again calling every hour.  I have never ordered mail order from Blair or any one else for that matter so who else is this World Finance working with?  Thanks for a few of the tips referenced.  But it is scarey they know my full name and have obtained private information yet won't identify temselves.

This number started calling me this past Sunday (3/29/09) and they have not stopped since. Like described elsewhere, if I answer, there isn't anyone there and they never leave a voice message; calls at least four times a day from about 8 AM until 8 PM. I called back a few days ago to verify the company name on the recording (World Financial Bank or something like that). I do not currently have or have I ever had any account with any of the companies I've seen associated with this number and/or WFCB. I've since checked my credit report to make sure there hasn't been fraudulent activity and there hasn't. My number is on the Do Not Call list, and I file a complaint each time they call. Yesterday morning after the second or third call of the day, I called back, pressed "0" repeatedly until I was connected with a CSR named Kevin who requested an account number. I told him I didn't have an account with them and to stop calling me. He was extremely smug and offered no help, but at least now I can say I've requested the calls stop when I file complaints. I would urge everyone receiving calls from this number to register their number and file a complaint each time they call on donotcall.gov.

I've also started receiving calls from 913 563-5551, which, if not obvious enough, is the same company as I called back and heard the same recording. These are less frequent, but are no less annoying.

These people are calling at least five times per day.  It starts around 7:30AM and ends around 10PM at night.  I am going to file a complaint with the Attorney Generals Office tomorrow and will pursue some sort of law suit if I have to in order to get these calls to stop.  I don't know who they are or what they want but I know that if they don't stop I will take whatever drastic measure possible to get this issue resolved as quickly as possible.  Maybe Washington needs to know how these creditors are handing their end of the table right now during these stressed economic times.  This is absolutely rediculous.

Calling multiple times for a woman who has not had the number in over 5 years.  Asked the clerk to remove our number and she said she could not- since this was the number she gave until they have a new number for the other woman they can't remove this one.
