I got two prerecorded calls about credit cards from this number yesterday and one today. We are also on the do not call list. I did a reverse dial and when I call the number back it is just a recorded message that says the person is not available and to try my call later. Please report it to the FCC. I just did. Here is the form about prerecorded calls. Just fill it out and submit it and they will research it and hopefully stop these annoying calls.

This number calls me every single day.  I wish they would leave me alone!!!!

They call and they call - who the heck is it.  It is about lowering the interest rate on your credit card.

THIS "COMPANY" CALLS ITSELF "CARDMEMBER SERVICES" TRYING TO HELP ME RE-ADJUST MY CREDIT CARD BALANCES.
WHAT IT IS A SHAM, A CON TO GET YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBERS AND OTHER INFORMATION.
MY QUESTION IS WHERE IS THE FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION?
I AM ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST. BUT REPORTING A "CELL NUMBER" PROBABLY FROM A PRE-PAID CELL IS USELESS.
I PLAN TO BLOW A VERY HIGH PITCHED WHISTLE INTO THE PHONE THE NEXT TIME THESE CRIMINALS DECIDE TO CALL ME.

This particular phone number has a way of getting through,
someway and somehow using every trick in the books to
bypass every technology available to scam information from
people!!! It is very difficult to get rid of unwanted phone calls
such as these.

914-224-2233 is based in New York,but that,too is probably
a scam in itself and downright false!

It'll take a lot of perseverance and investigations to stop those
criminals,but it is possible if we put our time and energies
together...there are strengths in greater numbers !

If you really want to stop these or any other unwanted calls, replace your landline with an Ooma system (ooma.com) and you have the option to block calls with their Personal Blacklist.  Also many other options to enhance your privacy.

I do not work for Ooma, but I'm a satisfied customer for almost 2 years.

Telemarketer suggesting to lower my credit card rate.  I don't have a credit card.  When you ask to have your number removed from their list they hang up.

This number has called here as well.  I NEVER answer unidentified calls.  There are companies that exist  with computers to dial random numbers, flagging everyone that gets an answer.  They hang up and sell the numbers to marketers so that the marketers don't pay man hours to get FAX machines, computers, etc.  After a while, the computers give up on unanswered numbers...most of the time.  And instead of a buildup of abusers because I answer the ring, I just have a turnover of new unidentified numbers and those with unknown ID names.  I NEVER answer.  Even if I were to answer and tell them to stop calling, I'd just be talking to a computer that would flag my phone for sale to marketers.  These abusers know there is not enough manpower to police the Do Not Call List.  This is why the FCC gave up requirements for Citizen's Band (CB) licenses.  They simply could not police the plethora of users in the country, even those with illegal power.  The smart thing is don't answer the phone.  It costs them and they get nothing for it.

this number calls my cell phone. i dont even own a credit card so its really frustrating to get these ridiculous calls.

Credit Card Fishing...I tried to talk to the person, sounds like the same guy that calls everytime 'Credit Card Services' calls.

I was getting a LOT of these unwanted scam calls (from 914-224-2233, and many other numbers as well) - about a dozen a day - and so I called my local telephone company to see what could be done about them.  They provided me a simple way that puts the last call made to your phone number on a list that BLOCKS that particular caller's phone number.  I started doing this, and the amount of these irritating phone calls have dropped off dramatically, almost to nothing.  Every time I get a phone caller who doesn't leave a message, and I don't recognize their number, I just simply add that number to a list of numbers that are now blocked from calling me.  I have found this solution to be very simple, easy, and most of all, effective.

I am sure John and Rick are getting a kick out of posting people's information while staying annonymous yourself, but that's ok.
For the interested consumers that actually read what they post before they post it : SBN Peripherals was a service provider to the telemarketing and political nessaging industry, we had a internet based  computer system that allowed telemarketers to make phone calls and sell THEIR services.
We were accused of aiding telemarketers by the FTC and in a Razzia that took place on June 2 2010 all of our assets (money and property) were seized, and our company was put into receivership.

Nothing is working to stop this company....they have been bothering me for years on my business and home line. When I talk to a live person and ask them to stop they hang up on me and one time called me right back, I am assuming out of spite. The Do Not Call registery apparently is a joke, any answers on how to control and stop this crap? My cell is not getting bombarded with crap calls too!

Have received several calls from this number and it is always an automated message about a credit card.
