Call from foreign language saying they were from us legal service sending detective out

address of caller given to me by George Rogers   with asian accent.  
Identified self as employee of dept of legal affairs united states treasury   which is a crime if not true
but refused to supply case file number from which my phone number was taken

Received a call from "Eric Johnson", said he was from Legal Affairs and that I needed to call right away. Rather threatening, but no details, and a heavy accent with much background noise. Obviously a scam.  Call comes up as "Bronxville, NY"

received a call from Eric Johnson to speak with a gentleman by the name of Kevin Smith. they stated that I was having a lawsuit filed for my name. I then Googled the number and see that this is some kind of scam.

Received a msg from this number (showed as unknown) Couldn't understand the name of the person as the back ground was very loud, and he had a heavy accent, could not even tell what his name was as he stated on the msg. Sounded like an Indian accent. He claimed he is from the dept. of legal affairs and stated that I should have my attorney to contact them and if I don't call back they will put a warrant for my arrest. I knew it was a total scam and I am glad everyone has reported this number.

I just got a call from theses guys.  Scared me at first so I went on the Treasury Dept's website.  Couldn't find any legal affairs dept.  Feel better now after reading on the posts on this.  Pe

I received the same call today from the same phone number. It is very clear that it is a SCAM!

this guy speaking broken English tells me i have to call Keven Smith # 914-364-9546.  i can't imagine anyone working for the IRS on memorial day.  

I received two calls - 1 yesterday and 1 today, May 28, 2014 from Jack Watson who said he was with the Department of US Treasury of United States.  Gave me his callback number of 914-394-4642.  Busy every time I try to call it back.  Said I need to contact Officer Kevin Smith 914-364-9546 about a legal case and my taxes.  Immediately need to report and have this stopped.  He did speak broken English.  Could not hardly understand him.

I called the number and this Kevin guy answered.  I told him that the FBI was on to their scam and they better clear out because they were on there way and got hung up on.

they started calling at 12:00 pm 5-30-2014 that they was the dept of treasury and they had a legal action aginst me and wanted to know if I knew what this was all about when they said to call this number 914 364 9546 and ask for kevin smith when he told me that I would be arrested withen 45 min when I told him that I had turned this manner over to the local sheriffs dept the guy said that that would be a bad idea and hung up!

I also have been getting calls from this # . I couldnt even understand him.Last friday I was told to call  Steve Miller  at same # RIGHT NOW..  When I questioned him who he worked for he only said its a legal matter.Today I get a call from same #,  When I again started to speak he says stop argueing with me.. This is serious legal matter I cant wait for the next call LOL.

I just got a call on my girlfriends phone asking for my name??? Anyways,
this whole situation sucks because of how upset some people are made,
by listening to this crap. I left them a very threatening message in hopes they
will take me seriously and leave me and other people alone. What did anybody ever
do to deserve this kind of treatment. This is a scam to the fullest, and unfortunately,
some people will fall victim. This is not their first of last scam, I received a call from them
telling me that I have to contact them or I will be arrested. When I called them, they asked me
if I was (woman's name), I said, do I sound like a woman, and they hung up. I love to play around with these
idiots, by posing as a victim, asking what they need, and then giving them all sorts of false information.
I make sure to call them about 40-50 and making there lives a living hell.

Same calls as all the rest, US Dept. of Treasury, George called me and left a message for me to call Kevin back.  I called back and left a message the same day, the next morning, yesterday, George calls me again, very rude, tells me I need a lawyer, they have a pending suit against me.  He would not tell me what this was regarding only that I needed to talk to Kevin.    
I told him I couldn't even understand him, and told him he was full of #$%& and hung up.  

I told this scammer to find an honest way to make a living. He was trying to intimidate me. I hope he escapes this downhill path.

Yeah these scumbags called my wife and said she owed taxes from three years ago. Funny thing is shes only had my last name for two. I called them back asked for credentials etc and the guy says hes sending officers to arrest my wife and hangs up. Its total b.s. anyways i just call him ad nauseum and i posted his number online so all my many friends can have a go. I suggest u do the same.

I received several calls from this number and the same story.

I started receiving calls from 914-364-9546.  I did not answer them as I didn't know who it was.  The calls were relentless so eventually I answered the calls yesterday.  It was a woman with what appeared to be an Indian accent who asked me if I was aware that the US treasury Department was taking legal action against me.  I asked her what for and she told me that I would need to contact the case manager.  She gave me his name and phone number.  Problem is the phone number was the same as what she was dialing from.  I called back and the number went straight to voicemail.  I left a message for the supposed case manager to call me back.  Today I received a phone call from the same woman who asked if I had called the case manager.  I said that I had left a message for him and had not received a call.  She said this matter was extremely urgent and that I needed to try calling him again.  She hung up the phone and about one minute later, a guy called me from the same phone number.  He identified himself as Kevin Smith from the Investigation Unit of the US Treasury Dept. He gave me his badge # as 86530.  He had what appeared to be an Indian accent.  He told me that there was a case against me for not paying my federal taxes and that if I did not resolve this immediately, that a warrant had already been issued for my arrest and that they would activate the warrant.  When I asked questions, he got angry with me and told me to be quiet and let him explain.  He told me that my 2010 taxes were filed incorrectly and that I now owed $2798.52.  I asked him if that was the case, why hadn’t I received notification in writing from the IRS.  He just continued to be angry and repeat everything he had already said to me this time adding that I didn’t receive notification form the IRS because it was with the treasury Dept. now and they were a higher level than the IRS and did not need to go through them.  I told him I would not say anything else until I had investigated the matter further.  He told me that if I did not resolve this matter immediately, that the police would be at my place of employment within 30 minutes with a warrant for my arrest.  He also said that I would be jailed for 6 months with no bail or parole and that all my assets would be frozen and asked me if this is what I wanted.  Again, I repeated myself and said I would not respond to anything until I could investigate further.  He then told me that the police would be there in 20 minutes to arrest me and hung up on me.  Well, that was about 6 hours ago and I have not been arrested as yet.  It will be interesting to see if they continue to call me tomorrow.

Received 2 back to back calls from this number. He identified himself as Kevin Smith from the US Department of Treasury badge number 86530. He said that it was about my 2010 Federal Taxes. When I said that I was going to verify his identity with the Federal Bridge, he said that he only needed to give me his name and that federal agents will be at my house within 45 minutes to arrest me.

This just happened to my mom today !! Said there was a warrant for her arrest and verything. Same name and year of taxes ! Get this guy !
