If those scumbags call u all the.time just simply tell them to cease and decease all communication to your # an name n by law as soon as u tell them that they can never call u again n r only allowed to send u one more letter explaining your debt an how to go about settling it. If they do call u again after u tell them its a automatic $1,000 law suite. I was a scumbag collector myself way back in the day so I no all of the laws they have to obey. That's a $1,000 everytime they call knew a lady who sued my old company NCO FOR $165,000 an they paid her out of court cause they messed up n called 165 times afterwards good luck hope this info was helpful.

i want to report this company...they called and my son asked what it was in reference to, and they said a personal business matter...thing is i live in miisouri and have no business outside of this state and i knew that a 914 area code was not in missouri..  how can companies operated like this?

I get two calls per day. One around 8:15 AM and, 4:45PM.
Wascalling representing a credit card that I had filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy. My phone number is unlisted and were attempts by cell phone number. I had informed them I was recording their conversation for investigative purposes, the coller got nervous and hung up!

If they are calling from VA why is it a Westchaster County, NY area code?

Every Sunday,several weeks in a row...Female operator tries to make it sound as if she is an old friend from High School or something calling you by first name only then asks for you by your full name when I hung up 3 Sundays ago.These S.O.B's never leave a message.

Had a debt with HSBC, but was paid off almost four years ago!!!  I should know this, my dad loaned me the money to pay it.  Hell, I sat next to him when he wrote the check!!  Didn't get any phone calls for a while, the all of a sudden there trying to collect?!!?  I was a bill collector for almost two years, I told them that under FDCPA law, not to contact me again.  The lady on the phone said I had to send a letter requesting that.  Since when?  Soberirishman is right, if you tell them to cease and decist all collection activity they have to.  Legally 5 years after they obtain the account, and can't collect, they must stop all collection attempts.  Another thing to try is tell them you are recording the phone call, you are also noting the time and date as well as their name.  If they call you again, file a complaint and a lawsuit.

I keep getting calls from this number, 914-513-0163. They've called here for years, and I still haven't found out what it is that they are calling about.

I find that if you know the company name you can google thier name and possibly obtain a FAX number. I have had success sending them a page with my phone number in big black letters and telling them everytime I receive a call from them I will FAX 100 pages to them asking thme to cease calling. That shoul dtie up their FAX machine for a few minutes. It orked with Wells Fargo for me and another outfit in Colorado.

their call never leaves a message and you have to listen for 30 plus seconds before anyone begins to talk.Once you get the caller on the line you find out that they want to talk to sombody who doesnot live with  you.

me too, tons of calls from all kinds of numbers; been served with cease and disest and they keep it up; I think the do not call is a joke.  I have turned in numbers and NOTHING gets done.

They call all the time and hang up on my voice mail. I answered at 10.30 this morning & told them they had the wrong number. She kept talking so I hung up on her.
