- Tiffany| 1 replyI have read everyone's post and the same thing happened to me today. I received a message on my phone this morning telling me that I needed to call Kevin White back with my attorney information for criminal charges against me for a payday loan that I allegedly had with a online payday company. Then a lady by the name of Kathy Watson called me on my job and was trying to get me to admit I had a loan out with the online company, I told her that my calls are recorded and that this was a personal matter and it was againts the law for them to call me at work. They said that I had to pay them 502.00 thats the amount of the loan plus processing and attorney's fees. I told them that according to the fair credit act that the had to send me a written notice about the bill they are collecting for, they told me that they could not send me that documentation because that had so many that they could not sent me the actual bill. I told them that if I request the information that they had to give me time to dispute it. I told them that I talked to the attorney general of their state and the person in the office stated that I should write a letter and request in writing the nature of the bill, the name of company and the case number and request return receipt. When I told them that they said that per the terms and conditions of the onlie aggreement, the company didnt have to notify me. I said thats a lie. All of the people I talked to were from India and they claimed to have American names. I am reporting them to the better business bureau and I have filed a complaint with the attorney general of that state. FYI, a company can not use a summons for court to threaten you to pay a debt with out proper documentation. More than likely the company that is contacting you is a third party. They must give you a 30day writen notice of the explaining the accusations and give you time to dispute them, if they dont, then they are in violation of the law and you can sue the for punitive damages. The summons to court can be kicked out. see The F.A.C.T. act ( fair credit act)

- Digitaldiva replies to crystalSorry to burst your bubble, Crystal, but I've been contacted by these same jerks for the better part of the past 2 months now and it's apparent they're just getting started. They've given me the same song and dance about collecting a past due debt owed to a payday loan company and when I ask them for the name of the company, they can't come up with a name or if they do give a name, it's the name of a payday lender portal, meaning this company submits your information to several payday loan lenders but they don't give loans. They give a slew of different names -- Kevin Johnson, Keith (no last name), Jason James, Alex Cooper, Shawn Jones. Even Percy Jackson (as in Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief. I guess his plan was to have Zeus smite me for not paying up). All have a very thick Indian accent, they've called me from at least 5 different numbers, they call me at work and at home, threatening to have me arrested at my job if I don't pay. The thing they don't know is that I work for a law firm so I know what they can and can't do even if they were legit. They're nervy SOBs, calling to update their phone number when they change it (which they have 3 times in as many weeks. What legit business does that?). It started out with me hanging up on them when they got rude with me but now they hang up on me when I call them on their lies or return the rudeness. That feels soooooo good! When Alex Cooper called last Wednesday, he insisted he needed to transfer me to his manager to settle this matter. I told him "Do whatever the f**k you want! I don't care!!" so he hung up. I haven't heard from them since but I'm sure they'll be back next week.
- Digitaldiva replies to SHARDAE POTTS| 1 replySHARDAE, ignore them. First off, even if they were legit, they can't have you arrested nor file a lawsuit against you for a debt owed. Not without giving you sufficient proof of the supposed debt and also giving you time to respond to their claim. They tell you that they're attorneys and insist on speaking to your "representative" because they're trying to make it sound official and authentic and put the fear of God in you. Well, it's an official lie and an authentic scam. They count on people being afraid of being fired or arrested in the hope that they'll cave in and pay up before those things can happen. They've been shoveling that same sh*t at me for almost 2 months now and I just shut them down with a few simple questions: What is the name of the company they claim I owe money to or I'll ask them to send me the paperwork via fax, snail mail or even email. Those two things always shut them down and they hang up. I've even caught them in an even bigger lie -- the amount owed. They change it from call to call although they claim to be representing the same company. That shuts them down, too. So keep your head up because something tells me that this may be just the beginning, unfortunately.
Be warned, though, they'll probably keep calling you daily and maybe even several times a day. They do that to try to wear you down but hang in there. - Nick Carter replies to DigitaldivaTell him to call you at your new number. Give them the number to your local FBI field office and tell them to call you there.
- The AvengerThese punks are a scam company based in India, trying to frighten people into calling them back. They have a set-up using Indian call center operators and disguise their actual phone number with # 000-000-0000. Use caller ID and bounce their calls, or call your telephone service and lodge a complaint against this number. If by cahance you pick up their call, give them a local attorneys number and watch their reaction.

- MariaI intended to apply for a short-term internet loan and when contacted by this company I could not finish the application as it prompted you to sign or phone in your authorization, yet there was not a clear message what you were authorizing, so I decided to not complete the application. A few days later they drafted $48.88 from my banking account without my permission. Then my personal reference person received a phone call claiming an "Andrew Parker"at 713-343-7242 (so I guess the number changed) was an FBI agent claiming he represented "Illustrious Perks" and they had filed charges of bank fraud against me unless they paid my bail (meanwhile I was on vacation and unaware of this). I contacted Illustrious Perks at 877-754-3389 and was hung up on twice after I mentioned my name and dilemma to the operator. Finally after a third try I spoke to a lady named Veronica who "swears" this is not a scam and "refunded" my $48.88 which is supposed to arrive via mail, yet she never asked me for my address. She also claims to not know who Mr. Andrew Parker is and that Illustrious Perks has nothing to do with him. Immediately I went to my local Police station and filed a report. He also called my job and left the name James Brown with the same phone number. The police actually contacted him and he continued to impersonate a Federal Crime Agent, which is a Federal offense. They handed his info over to the FBI. Please stay away from this company and any "payday loans" over the internet.

- ReyI have reseached this number and it's not a company number, I was told by a co-worker to read the "FAIR DEBT COLLECTION PRACTICE ACT" what ever phone number is call you needs to be reported to the local police so they can put that number in a data base to make sure they get cut off.
I do not pick up any calls from 000-000-0000, they can keep trying to call me. I have NEVER applied
for any payday loans, I have also reported this to the Fraud Dept at the FBI. I'm sure these middle easterns or Hindu's, or these [***] from India will be thrilled once the Authorities gets one by one.
Please people dont fall for this crap... if they call you back let them know they need to Assest and Assist. If we are all smart we can file charges against them... Good Luck... Or should I say GOD BLESS!! LOL...- Caller: ACS

- NailGuru| 1 replyThis little [***] has been calling me too! I called them back and one little India guy gave me yet another number to call. 347-435-2180 where I spoke with another India man named Danny. He told me I owe them $600.00 by Monday or I'm going to be taken to court in California and that I owe for some loan from Advance Cash USA.
Shouldn't I receive something in writing if I owe this money to someone? And if court is involved, wouldn't I get a summons to appear?- Caller: Unknown

- Russel Soriano| 1 replyGod dang middle eastern trying to scam me for money. Today December 15, 2010 around 12:30 pm while I was at work. Got a call from these middle eastern people with a number 0000. I believe they were Indians because you can tell by there accents. This guy calls himself Brock Louis saying that I owe $5000 on a payday loan and if I pay now I only have to pay around $1496. Well anyways he says that if I don’t pay now they will file a law suit on me saying that by 11am tomorrow they will come to my job and arrest me and that they promise that I was going to get terminated from my job. To be honest that kinda got me freaked out at first especially when I was at work talking to them. So talk to my boss saying that I’m going to be leaving early to deal with this issue. I mean I actually skip half of my day for this B.S from being stressed out. So went home and call them with the number they gave to me which is 646-580-3094 getting more information about this but whenever I tell them that I don’t owe that much money and that I don’t have enough money they would give me attitude on the phone repeating themselves that I owe that much. They even offered me a payment plan, saying pay half of that $1496. They actually wanted me to pay $800 today and the rest of the money on Friday. So finally I didn’t even care if something happens to me anymore told them that I’m sorry don’t have money at all. Then this guy was like alright tomorrow your going to be terminated from your job and that you will be prosecuted. He was pist off but his last word was actually GOD BLESS YOU. I was actually worried waiting for what’s going to happen to me the next day and to see If something is really going to happen to me. They kept calling me with a 0000 number but not picking up. Soo I actually went online looking for people of the same problems….BINGO….seen this website with people with the same problems and the same Issues that I’m having right now and guest what…….This B.S middle eastern phone calls was actually a scam. It was a call were these guys are trying to get easy money from people and I just found out that what there doing is a fraud and that its against the law for them to call your job especially saying that you will be prosecuted and be terminated from your job. I mean it’s a pay day loan…I mean come on you know what I mean. Soo my plan was to call them back. Soo then I did asking for that Brock Louis if that is actually his real name……hahaha I was like hahaha do you know how many people are complaining about you guys…why in the f**** would you do this to people..you guys are the real fraud here…this isn’t right. I was like my lawyer is right in front of me…soo I’m going to need documents from this issue that your prosecuting me for. This guy just didn’t say anything after that besides..ohh let me get my manager…I was like alright then get your stupid a** manager so I can talk to him…hahaha..The manager talks to me saying how are you and all these nice words all of the sudden…OMG…men I was just playing game talk to this guy saying the same thing I said to that Brock Louis guy. I kid you not he decided not to talk after…I kept saying Helllooo…Helllooo…this guy will not answer back…soo I hang up and tried to call back and no one is picking up my calls….
