We keep getting calls from this number. They let it ring twice and they hang up. When I call back it always goes to a recording that says " we aen not here leave your name & number & we will call you back." maybe I should leave a message & tell them to quit calling.

This number calls almost everyday, multiple times, I do not answer if there is no name included.

This scamer is a complete jerk! I get several calls everyday for over a week. If you go to www.phonebooks.com and look up 916-234-6544 you get the address and name of the person for this number.
My search results with that phone number turned up a Jonas Ortiz, 613 staford st
folsom, ca 95630

Seeing how its in Folsom CA, good chance this guy is an excon. My recommendation is to call the police in Folsom, call the better business bureau, but I'm not sure its going to do any damn good.

Calls every day several times a day, never leaves a message.  One ring only.

I have had the same issue. I did press 1 and a girl came on, she then hung up on me when I asked to be taken off of her call list.

I did report the number to the Do Not Call List.

I also blocked the phone number with comcast (I did it online) and hopefully will not see that number again.

It was about SMUD and saving money with PG & E.

Interesting that when you pick up it's only a dial tone most of the time. When you call back, just a voicemail (leaving no credible information).. For me, it has been impossible to contact the owner of this number. From the way it seems, no one has actually setup a real appointment with this "company". I'm curious as to what they are really up to.

I've been getting the same call.  Every night for the last few weeks.  I pressed one this time and told him to remove me and he hung up on me.  I have Comcast so I added his number to my call rejection list.  Hopefully that takes care of it!  Here's a link for Comcast users on how to do what I did:

Constant calls, every hour or so during the day. Hate it!

This number calls our home once or twice a week, rings 2-3 times and hangs up, no one is there.  I called the number back and a recording says to leave a msg, so I did.  Told them to stop calling and remove my number from their call list!

The guy was really nice. Seemed to be trying to make an honest living. However he acted like he knew nothing about his telemarketing strategies. Said he gets leads from calfinder.com and this was one of them.

I'm sick of this number calling and not leaving messages. They will call 3 to 4 times a day. I call back and it goes straight to a message with a recording of a soft spoken wimp just saying "Thanks for calling, leave a message" and thats it. Reported again to the Do Not Call Registry, but the DNC doesn't seem to be doing anything after Republicans ruined the economy and cut funding for this agency.

They do hang up as soon as you try to tell them not to call you or that you are not interested. Reported them (again) to the National Do Not Call Registry,

I too get calls all the time from Sloughhouse CA and I'm 3000 miles away. For you people that are near there, if all of you call back and just keep putting any kind of garbage on their answering machine maybe they will get the message. Someone has to listen to the answering machine so after hundreds of hours of listening to gobblety-[***] they'll get a taste of their own medicine. Personally, I'd put Tarzan, Popeye, the 3 Stooges and maybe recite the penalties for calling people who are on the no call list.
