I also received a message from this number and they had the nerve to call my job and left a message stating that i need to call back this is time sensitive or have my lawyer call back. if I did not call back i would be forced to pay back legal fees. I also called the number back and it just rang then hung up. no voicemail. the person calling me was Justin Martin but he was just as foreign as he can be.

they called me too this morning and he said that he was from the state's attorney's office and I had 3 charges against me in the state of California and when I asked him about them he had no info and said that I had to call this number and speak with the attorney Logan Fernandis and spelled it just like that and that he would inform me of what the charges were and what I could do about it well me being in the fire dept and working closely with the police and sheriffs in my area. I knew this didn't smell right so instead of calling him back I called the sheriffs dept in the area where the cell phone number came from which was Sacramento, CA and the cell number traced back to Rio Linda, CA which is in Sacramento county and they just told me to research it further online and that is what brought me here. I hope this person gets caught! I also did research on Logan Fernandis in Rio Linda, Ca and found a home number of 916-731-4370 and a home address of 3323 E. Curtis Drive with zip 95818-4433 when I called the home number they said that a Logan fernandis didn't live there nor was that his cell number so I don't know if that home is connected with this scammer but it was only miles from where the cell call was placed from. I got a phone call from 916-243-5985 today. A person asked for me by my first and last name. Me not recognizing the number, I asked, "who's calling?!" This person had an Indian ascent(red flag) spoke very fast, and told me that they were calling from the California State Attorney General's Office. Then they go on to ask me if I had an attorney. I have not a clue to what is going on or what could be going on so I asked why would I need one? Well.. they verified the last 4 #'s of my social and go on to tell me that there are some serious criminal charges against me in the state of California and there's a case pending and I would need an attorney. I'm like.. wtf???? "what kind of charges???" But they act surprised that I wasn't aware of these charges and told me that they wouldn't be able to discuss and gave me the number to a Chris Noriega, who is an attorney, and told me to contact him and he would be able to discuss in more detail. So.. I called this number to later realize that it was the same number they called me from and it was a non-working number. So I googled the attorney general's office website which gave me the run arounds until I finally googled this attorney's name. I called and spoke with this man and explained to him in full detail what was discussed during this phone call with "the attorney general's office". Well long story short.. This man told me that these people are a scam. They called him several months ago in regards to a client of his and got his bar number and was somehow able to access private records and have been calling people all across the united states every since. He says for the most part these peope are able to call people and make it seem like they are calling from the person's light company or gas company, saying their accounts are past due for payments, asking for immediate payments or their services will be turned off. And that's when it hit me.. I recieved a phone call from the company I make my car payments to yesterday. I called back today to see what the call was for and they show no record that I was called. Told me my account was very current and there was no reason for them to call. So i'm wondering if this is really the only time they have called me. But anywho, He has reported these people to everyone he can report to including the FBI and they all tell him there's nothing they can do, they can't even help him. AIN'T THAT ABOUT A B*TCH?! So the moral of this story is... people please be careful who you issue your personal information to. It's a Cold Cold world we live in.

Had several  of these calls om 1-25-2013 from someone claiming to be from the California State Attorney's office making threats of sending the police to my home to arrest me for some outstanding online payday loans.

They started off with asking for my name and attorney of record.  Person had a strong Indian accent and kept asking if I wanted to know what this was about or go to jail.

They had the last 4 digits of my SSN and made claims of pending legal action.  Refused to cooperated when I requested written information of these charges be send to my mailing address and continued to threaten me with arrest and jail.

Guess he didn't like it when I asked if he was going to put police officers on a plane and fly them out to North Carolina from California.  


Had 9 calls from this number according to the Caller ID on my landline.  Calls were at the following times:

12:38 pm
5:41 pm
5:44 pm
5:45 pm
6:11 pm
6:12 pm
6:13 pm

All this information was provided that same night online when I filed a complaint with the FTC.  So far I've heard nothing back from them.

I have been getting phone calls from this number also, a guy saying he is Joseph Daniels and if I do not call back he wishes me luck in what I am about to go through...not sure what I am about to go through, but for someone that doesnt even speak english to call and harass me all hours of the day is uncalled for! I hope this scum gets what he deserves.

I check my voice  mail today, they call me a round 630am..  say it was in my  best interst to cal them back, along  with my attroney..  I ask them three times what company are you with , he  say cash advance, i told  him i dont have a  loan with anyone,. he then told me  dont get smart , i hung up on him.  the sad thing he  has  no  idea  how termially ILL  that i'am.  i dont need  this.

These same people been calling me on my job on a daily basis leaving messages with my secretary. I called d number back on several occasions and once I got to speak to someone he was telling me that my bank funds was on hold, drivers license was being suspended and my insurance was cancelled all because I refuse to pay for a loan from Cash Advance. These crooks need to be stopped.

That number just called me explaining to me that I needed me or my attorney to call. He gave me his name and number but did not tell me what it was in regards to.. I have called back twice and it rings but then beeps. No voice message saying who I have reached or what company it is. The man says his name is Joseph Daniel and if I don't call back then good luck and he can't help me no more. What should I do?

My cell phone has been getting message for a man stating his name is Mike Brown (very heavy accent)with some kind of attorney and blah blah blah.  The call wasn't even for me, it was for some other person I've never heard of. I've block this number from my phone.

I received a voicemail on my home phone and called the number right away to figure out what they were talking about.  they would not discuss any information with me and when they asked for my attorney of record i asked what this was regarding and told them it was none of their business who my attorney is until they tell me what this is regarding.  they got mad, cursed at me and then hung up.  i called back a few times just to frustrate them and will keep my whistle handy for when they call again.  that should remove me from their list.

Person calling threatened me with 3 counts on a lawsuit.  Name is Augustin Parker.  Explained I don't have any loans with Cash Advance.  He said the police will be coming to get me.  I said you can't be arrested for non payment of a bill and besides I did talk to a lawyer and he said the information is sent by snail mail certified if you have a lawsuit against you not email or phone calls.  I asked him when the court date was he said I already new.  I told him I was reporting his phone number to the FBI.  These phone calls are starting up again.  They always have a foreign accent but have normal names.

Calls at my work and my cell hone from this number 19162435985 threatening me.   I called them back and ask for the name of their company and he said state attorneys office and when I ask him again he said haven't you heard I said the state attorneys office and I responded back stating that this was not true and that I knew it wasn't the state attorney and then there was a pause and he hung up on me.   How do I get them to stop calling and what can I do to get this stopped?   What they are doing is illegal.  It is embarrassing for me at work to keep getting these calls too.

I called the number back and informed them that I had called the FBI as well as the Federal Trade Commission. They asked for me not to do that because they have kids. I told them they should have thought about that before they tried to scam me. By this point they were begging me not to make the call. I said it's too late. I already did it, and when I say I already called, believe me I did make the call. At this point, I was being called all kinds of [***]. I said oh well! Maybe next time you will think twice before you try to scam people out their hard earned money.

As the others I was told I'm goign to jail for upaid $ and I should have my attorney call them

I received a call on my cell while at work so I let it go to voicemail, the next thing I knew they called my office looking for me telling me I was being sued and had 3 criminal charges against me and they had at least the last 4 of my Social Security and I DIDN'T give it to them!!!!! Said that I needed to talk to a Chris Noreaga and the callers name was Mark.  I tried to call them back to get more information and it is NOT an OFFICE.  Started my day off wrong!!!!!

I am recieving the same threatening calls as everyone else.

I received 2 calls from this number today. They left one message stating me or my lawyer needed to call them right away and to not ignore this call.  If I do they wish me good luck as this situation unfold on me,  He never said the company he was calling from. He had a thick accent and I could hear background noise which sounded like a lot of people talking.

This happened to me this morning and when I asked for his supervisor he started callin me names saying that I am an idiot or that I was deaf. Needless to say I looked the number up and I see that I am not the only one.

I just got two calls from this number too.  They wouldn't identify themselves, couldn't and couldn't understand the guy very well,  They gave me the last four of my ssn and said I have charges against the ssn.  I was very confused so called my dad, police, and ssn office.  They said they have never heard of anything like this.  I figured that was the case but it makes you say what the hell.
