- tbirdthey have called my cell many times. I never pickup and they never leave a message.
- AnneCalled, did not leave message.
- none replies to Ed| 1 replyWhy they are the government and they don't give a [***]!!! Put a blocker on your phone!!!
- leave me alone replies to Why Notwhat is the purpose of the FCC if they are not doing their job? they should create also a robo blocker on the cellphone.
- AnonymRobo call- "Kelly" from "Consumer Law" with credit card rate reduction scam.
- Caller: consumer law
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Suzee replies to aPeCreate a new Contact on your cellphone called "spam" and add this phone number (and all future numbers) to that contact. Then set calls from that contact to go directly to voicemail.
Your phone won't ring, and they won't leave you a message.
The first phone carrier (AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, Vonage -- are you listening?) that has enough brains (it won't take much) to let me report a scam phone number (say, press *99), then when enough "votes" have been made, simply block ALL calls from that number (thus lowering their call volume dramatically) will definitely be my new carrier.
It won't stop them, but it will definitely make that carrier very popular. - NoelleCalled my cell. Didn't recognize the number so sent them to VM. They didn't leave a message so I assumed they were scammers.
- Caller: SCAM
- Total Fabricator aka LIAR replies to TomThat is total complete B.S. Verizon does not sell your information directly to third party telemarketers.
These companies use software that just randomly dials numbers sequentially. Verizon has nothing to do with this. And since these companies operate illegally, they couldn't care less about the "Do Not Call" list. - Wow. Someone sure has issues. replies to noneWhat kind of "blocker" do you suggest we put on our phones? What if your wife (well, not yours-in your case, Mommy) was stranded somewhere and needed to borrow a stranger's phone? Would their number get through? What about when your Dungeons and Dragons teammate needs to borrow a few dollars to buy the total rad Wizard he has been looking for ? Would he be able to call. Our point is that these companies change their numbers three or four times a week. It is impossible to know who is calling and what their business is.
If you don't like our Government, there's always Cuba or Egypt for you. - Cindy LockburnerUnidentified call. Didn't answer. No message left.
- very annoyedI am so tired of all these ROBO CALLS!! why can't some one stop them? I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST with house and cell phones and still get these calls!!
- Caller: Sparks/Chaud OK
- AnonymThey called my cell today, I did not answer, they left no message.
Not happy... - njactuaryI pulled off the road while bicycling to answer this call on my cell phone. I got a pre-recorded message about Fiscal Stimulus and the lowering of the interest rate on my student loans (well, actually they are my daughter's loans) if I press "1" on my keypad. This is a new twist to the old fashion scam about lowering interest rates on credit cards. I figure the only possible infomration they're looking for are Social Security numbers since bank loan numbers won't do them any good. I hung up.
- Caller: telespammer
- AWiseCONsumerWhen I look up who calls on this site and find it is a telemarketer or scam, I go into my Viatalk control panel and forward THAT number (incoming call routing) to a dial a porn site. Maybe that telemarketer will get caught up and stay on the phone with the sex chat operator for a long time, keeping him from bothering others. And the best part, the $$$$ will be charged to the scam company!
- Caller: Unknown Telemarketer
- Call type: Telemarketer
- FrustratedJust like Kelly said in an earlier report ... "this is Card Member Services ... thanks to the Financial Stimulus, we can save you $$$ in credit card bills ... press 1 to learn more ..." Pressing 1 gets you a CS person. I asked which credit card company they were - they're not (of course). They work with "all 500+ card companies." I told them I'm on the DNC list and they needed to remove my number from their calling list immediately. Then I added them to the "JUNK NUMBERS" contact I created in my phone - the contact I have set for blocked calls/reject list. Frustrating thing - they'll just call with a different number next time.
- Caller: Card Member Services
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Mrs. call no moreI do not answer calls from ppl i do not know, where are they getting this info from!?!?!?
- Diana| 1 replyI waited for a person to answer on one of these type of calls the other day...and then screamed as loud and long as I could. It felt good. Can't scream? Get a whistle, birthday party horn, etc.
- aggie replies to NinongI agree the do not call registry is a bad joke.
There is no way to get the callers as they change location and phone number.
I too hate that they eat my cell time that I pay the phone company. - Sherryconstant call to cell phone and work phone although on dnc list..what a joke this dnc is!
- Jean| 1 replyI keep getting calls from this number also and no one ever answers.
