Claimed to be from Kaiser Permanente, but never said a word

According to their website, this is the published number for Kaiser Permanente Park Shadelands Medical Offices.  It is listed as such on several websites.  In addition, call back gets, "Welcome to Kaiser Permanente Park Shadelands at Walnut Creek."  It goes on to give you options depending on purpose of your call.

Called to say I made an insurance claim and knew my name. I don’t use Kaiser. Even their caller ID said Kaiser Permanente. They also said it was strange since I apparently filed the claim a few days ago. After some back and forth and me saying to just ignore the claim, they still did not seem to have a strong purpose for calling. He started saying how it’s suspicious and asked if I showed my ID to random people like at a mall. Started saying how people have been scamming hospitals or some BS, and then I hung up. Def sounds like a scam call with some attempted scam tactics. Be careful.

The number appears to be from Kaisers Walnut Creek location but I had the exact same experience as Rachel. Its probably a scam but I had not idea what they are trying to scam from me after wasting 20 minutes on the phone. They claimed to try help me file a fraud report.

Based on earlier posts, there is a possibility a Kaiser number is being spoofed. So far no one has reported being asked for money. Maybe a phishing scam? It does look like calls from this number are to be treated with care - be careful about what info you offer or confirm. If you have a reason to be dealing with Kaiser, it would be best to thank the caller and contact Kaiser yourself on a number you know is good.

They want me to go their local office but checked the address they told me is different from Kaiser address, they wanted to verify my information, be careful.

They called 3 times today, caller ID shows Kaisers. I didn't picked up and they never left a message, a sure sign it's a scam.
