Just got a call today from Clyde Morgan from Transamerica.  He's call has a "blocked" number on my iphone.  Similar tactics.  He wants me to go for an interview tomorrow at 1 pm. for a managerial position.  Everything that he told sounded so much like a scam.  THere were a lot of inconsistencies.  Thank you for this website because I avoided wasting time and money for a scam like this.   Everyone - Beware of an elderly gentleman who goes by the name of Clyde Morgan from Transamerica in Diamond Bar calling you with a blocked number on your cell.  Hang-up immediately !!!

I also received a similar call from someone by the name of Clyde Morgan of Diamond Bar.
Thanks guys for letting us know about this fraud. I would wasted my time and gasoline for nothing.

Well there you go....... he just did it to me.... Clyde Morgan that is!

These people prey on those of us who have had difficulties and then take our money to boot.  I am so glad I found this site. I will not call this a**hole again - He is associated with another scam group as well who have been calling and threatening me for 3 years.  I actually called the FBI two + yrs (Nov 2011) ago about them and they said they have no jurisdiction over them and to just hang yup!  The FBI told me they are scam artists. They threatened (the scam group) that the FBI would be at my door the next day - so... I called the FBI  ! And that is what they said.

If this guy calls you for an interview, don't go!!!  It's not what it seems. It's not a job offer but a recruitment to sell insurance under an MLM setting. Clyde Morgan is not an owner nor a principle of the company WFG or Transamerica. Beware of scam.

Received a call from 951-237-4529.  This is a scam.  Do not contact this person.  All they want is money from you and prey on the unemployed.

I got a phone call from Chuck Rogers today from (951) 264-9041, inviting me to come down for an interview tomorrow for some type of financial job. He claimed he saw my resume on CareerBuilder and was impressed. His address he provided was 3350 East Birch Street Suite 208 in Brea, California. I knew he was calling from a cell phone due to the background noise. I texted him back later saying sorry I didn't get the name of your company. He replied with saying TransAmerica Advisors will be on the door.

I replied back with "I am concerned this may be a scam. This is the 3rd red flag so far."
(Googleing the phone number, address, and company name)

He replied "I don't know where you are getting your information but if you believe that a company that has been around for 150 yrs financed the rebuilding of San Francisco after its largest earthquake, financed Walt Disney's first movie, been advertised in a tri-fold of Forbes Magazine, highly regulated by the FINRA, SEC, and the State of California Insurance Dept. please don't show up and waste my time."

I will not be going to this "interview."

This scam is still happening.  I received  a call about 10 minutes ago from Clyde Morgan with the same instructions to call him between 3-5 today or tomorrow.  Seemed odd that someone wanting to interview me would specify a time so I googled his name and number and this blog came up.  Not going to waste my time and you shouldn't either if you are a job seeker.  Don't be suckered.

And his saga continues. Just got the same call.

Here is the Google VM text I received from this #. So glad I didn't pick up "Hello this message is for (my name from Career Builder resume). This is Clyde Morgan the reason I'm calling is in regards to your resume on career builder, and I'd like to possibly schedule an interview my office is here in brea, and you can contact me tomorrow afternoon between 4 and 6 p.m.. Or on Thursday between 3:30 and 5:30 p.m.. My direct line is 951 237 4529 again. My number is 951 237 4529. I look forward to hearing from you." The fact that he doesn't mention what company he is with was what made me Google his phone #. I won't be wasting my time in calling him back. Thanks to all who listed their experiences.
