They are threatening to have me arrested at home or job regarding money that was wired to me and want me buy some cards and put money on them then contact them back is this a SCAM or real?

Got same threatening call. Called back. Told me to hold. I said I would rather aggressively and the person was rather aggressive with me. I told him he was calling and threatening to have me arressted so I believe I had a right to be a little upset considering the circumstances. He called me a n*gg*r and hung up! When I try to call back he picks up and hangs up immediately! Coward! Big time scam! I work for law enforcement - HUGE mistake on his part!

the man with a middle eastern accent called and asked me if i had an attorney because there was charges filed against me. when i asked what charges he replied he cldnt say and i had to speak to the lawyer Roger Taub. the number will not let you call back.

I got a call from this number yesterday and today. Some guys with a thick accent ,( like he might work at a convenient store) said he was going to ruin my life if I didn't pay them money. He said he knows where I live and was coming with the police. I told them I called the police (which I had) He told me to tell the police to "[***]".

I got a call too saying there was a case filed against me and that they wanted my attorney's contact information.  They also had my SSN.  I told them I don't know anything about a case filed against me and asked for their contact information.  They named my place of employment and said I could kiss my job good-bye because I was going to be arrested for 3 months and thrown behind bars.  I hung up and they called back 2 more times.  I guess they will be calling my work now.  Great. If they call me back I will be prepared to give them a phone number to some government agency for White Collar Crimes or something like that.  That's what I do with all the scam emails I get from Nigeria and other places.  I reply asking for more information and copy the FBI. : )

You can contact the FTC at www.ftc.gov and/or your state's Attorney General and file a complaint on line.  There are cases sited on their website about collection companies that are being sued for the very same thing as what these scum-scammers are trying to do.  Next time you get a call ask for their contact information to give to your attorney.  Instruct them not to contact you at work or home then stop answering their calls.  I only have their phone number and threats but was still able to send the information to the AG.  Good luck.  I hope this helps.  It made me feel better.....although, in this economy and having to scrape by to pay my utilities, doing without gas, water or electric at any given time, the 3 months they threatened in jail might not be so bad!  : )

I received a call from Damon Marshall from number 916-500-4945. He told me I had 2 hours to send in $375 to him by way of a card. If I did not I would have a warrant for my arrest and I would be locked up for 6 to 9 months. Then I got another call from him today and he said that the amount went up to $1200. So I went to my local police station and reported him. I also called the California Bar Administration. I beg all of you to go and fill the attorney complaint form online and submits it to get this guy to stop before he really hurts someone financially.
