CPC (Mark) called my husband work today. The receptionist said he was on break. He then called back and screaming saying someone hung up on him. The receptionist transferred him to the boss. He told the boss he wanted whoever hung up on him fired and he was going to sue the company. I called back and said I was my husband. I of course yelled at him and asked him who he thought he was. He said he never said that to the boss. I told him they tape recorded him and so was I. He wouldn’t believe and wanted my social security number. I obviously would not give it to him. He would not tell me what “debt” he was calling for. We did have one that we had a dispute with so it could have been that one. I told him to send me something in writing and we would take care of it. He kept hanging up on me so I kept calling him back and back. I told him I think I should have his job because I would be so good at it! The number to him is 1 (800) 815-1856. I am sending him a certified letter with return receipt. Goggle dispute letter. So much stuff comes up on goggle about this company.

Amazing that they continue to waste their time calling my number.  They ask for somebody with a decidely hispanic name, and my phone # is clearly listed in every phone book and database with my decidedly American name. Nothing to hide. With any investigation at all, they can find out that I've had my same phone number for over 30 years!  So why do they keep calling and harrassing me?  Because they love it!  That's why they have the job they do - they love to piss peole off and annoy them.  Just be sweet and remind them they are idiots.  "Oh hello Dear, have you forgotten that you are stupid?"

I received a call from my ex husband saying that I got a call from a Scott Fisher from CPC and no information as to what the call was about or what it was for. They did mention that it would be their last time trying to contact me and if I would like help or further information in filling out the ARC207 form I should call them back right away. I'm really starting to think this is scam of some sort!

They started calling me telling me that they were a collection agency for HSBC credit card - which I paid in full over a year ago.  The first time I talked with them, I informed them of this.  I didn't hear anything from this for over two weeks.  Now they have started calling again but this time 2-3 times per day.  They don't always leave a message, but the lady that does leave a message is a real [***].  I have the proof of the payment to this credit card company in my online banking bill pay, and find it strange that after I sent this lump sum payment i never received another statement.  Seems like a scam to me.

Wow. What a RELIEF to see that others are dealing with this same bullsh*t!  I mean, don't get me wrong, I wouldn't wish these calls on my worst enemy...but I really was starting to think I was the only one.  I talked to a VERY RUDE person one day when I had finally reached my limit with them; I told the adolecent on the other end I was NOT Maureen so and so and to take my number off of the list and stop calling me.. he scoffed in disbelief and asked if I know her, then said, " I see what's going on". What the hell does that mean? Well, guess what?  NOW they are calling AT LEAST twice a day.  Seriously, why can't this company be stopped????

I just another call from 952-215-3684. I've asked them to stop calling as this is a billing line.

Ryan Kelly from CPC called me this morning 10:15 to say Wells Fargo says I owe them money.  I have never had an account with Wells Fargo bank.  I would never have an account with Wells Fargo Bank.  As I tried to talk with this moron he continued to talk over me.  While I understand this is his job and he's trying to make a commission, if anyone knows what terminology we're supposed to use to get them to go away please tell us.

I also paid off a credit card over three years ago with a lump sum payment, and am now getting rude phone calls from this company claiming it was not paid. I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau, but that was a waste of time, since their reputation is so bad anyhow. I will be reporting them to the FTC and to my Attorney General's office. Don't bother talking to them. Don't even bother answering their calls. They are RUDE, and they will not let you speak or listen to anything you say.

My caller ID always says CPC when I get these calls.  I looked up CPC online and they are a collection agency.  I called the number for them from the online site and spoke to a very nice person.  I explained the problem and stated that if these phone calls did not stop I would report them and if that didn't work, I would turn it over to  my lawyer.  She was very nice - told me she would take care of it and mentioned that it might take up to 48 hours to remove my number but assured me it would be done.  Sjhe apologized and again said she would take care of it.  We'll see what happens.

Just answer and say just a minute and sit there see how long they wait.

why wont they stop calling me, this is my cell number and use's up my minutes

You can file a complaint with your state's attourney general and with the federal trade commission. It takes three minutes.

When I get calls like this and they are looking for someone who does not live here and that I do not know, and will not stop calling, I ask for sexual favors over the phone. I used to get mad and that only fueled their fire. Now, I start asking for help. Woman freak! "Sir what you are doing is illegal!" No [***] right, just like you! Now seriously, what kind of panties do you have on? While you are on the phone, reach down and ease them over and.......

They just started calling.  previously I received calls from PRC Portfolio Recoveries Co, always looking for a "skip-trace" on a person (a female) who is not me.

Got a call form this number . No message was left. I don't answer calls from numbers I don't recognize on Caller ID.  Came up as CPC on Caller ID.

CPC Phone Number 952-215-3684, consistantly call house without leaving a message.  i don't know this company and require that this company stop calling my house.

I also received multiple calls from these [***] and I recommend the number of 1-800 511-4067 is connected to these people and I have called and served notice I will call them 30 times a day in retaliation if they don't remove my number from their call list

Received a call from this number. It popped up as CPC on my caller ID. Usually I don't answer calls I don't know but lately I have to. I answered and it went straight to a recording saying they were looking for Harold and to press 1 if that was me and to press 8 if it wasn't and wanted my number removed off the list.

I'm not Harold, nor do I know anyone named Harold so I pressed 8. Some guy answered and said hello so I told him that whoever they're looking for is not at this residence or uses this number and I asked for my number to be removed.

He replies ever so sarcastically, "oh yes, we'll remove your number right away. Gotta go." and hung up on me. Needless to say, if they call back they'll be getting a mouthful from me.

I getting out my whistle and blow it into the phone if they call again.  I've heard that when they ask for someone else, it is just a ploy to get you to talk to them, because it really is YOU they want to speak to.  Don't be stupid readers.  If they want you bad enough they should send you a Certified letter.  Ignoring them is the best way to deal with them.
