Yep - same here.  Received one today.  Thanks for all of your posts.  I'm going to "Mail" it back to them marked "ADDRESSEE NOT AT THIS ADDRESS!  REMOVE FROM MAILING LIST!"

Somebody called me from this number trying to setup an agreement for a pending debt

no voicemail, no identification, multiple calls

Got the same letter today:

With a big heading that says "DESTROY IF UNDELIVERABLE"

Inside it was a letter from FIA Card Services trying to work out the last notice for payment before they "Charge Off" the uncollected debt.

Remember that if you owe money to any credit card company and you agree on a settlement they will not tell you but they will send a 1099 to the IRS for the money that you did not pay them and it is now considered income on your tax return.  So guess what you still have to pay that money in taxes.  So be very careful if you settle for any amount as it will not help you in some cases.

In this letter they wanted to settle a $30,000 credit card debt for just a little over $5,000.  Guess what the IRS will get a 1099 for the unpaid balance of $25,000 of income against you, Now you have a big problem.

Caller ID has Card Services but no message was left

this number just called me. The caller ID says card Services, caught it in time, my 5y.o. almost answered!

These big banks own and run our government and they destroyed out economy so they can harass you till hell freezes over and nothing will be done about it.

I've had calls from this and other phone numbers multiple times a day for the past few days. Every time I look them up, everyone seems to think it's Bank of America. I've never had an account with them. Seems like the general consensus is that BofA does not own this number or any of the others calling me. Something fishy is going on, so I will continue not answering and hopefully they'll eventually stop.

Forgot to mention I am not behind on any payments on any credit cards and monitor my credit so I know no one has stolen my identity.

These folks actually left a robo-message a couple of times, but I'm sure it's a scam, as I have no overdue credit cards, and I am notapplying for new cards or credit, and I do no business with them.  I wish someone would STOP them.

This caller is SO ANNOYING!  I do no business with them, or B of A, which is where I'm told they hail from.
