- WatchfulI've had calls from this National Diabetes Association scam network before and block the numbers. Don't answer anything you don't recognize. LOOK UP THE NUMBER!!! You're not losing anything except your dignity and personal information when you let the scumbags get through. In a case such as a Diabetes scam (or Cancer, or Heart Association) call the headquarters' office of the disease being used for the con. Notice diabetes scam is using "National" instead of "American" Diabetes Association. (Look it up on your computer.) Make sure you vehemently denounce the scam call(s) and let the the legitimate disease headquarters note the info. Ask them to complain to the feds, etc. Put the ball firmly in their court. Maybe some politicians will get off their [***] and legislate. If you are elderly, make sure to advise them that these scam calls upset you and put you at risk for heart attack, stroke, nervous breakdown, etc. Yes, the constant calling of telemarketers, scams, etc. can kill you or seriously harm your health. Ring, ring, ring all day long. Imagine it, and let the diseases' headquarters know about it. That's the best way to get this crap shut down. BTW, many scams add a foreign prefix to a US area code (it rarely shows on your caller ID, but your provider should be able confirm). This puts them out of the range of some investigations and blocking, but it is still commerce and should be subject to US law. The AMERICAN DIABETES ASSOCIATION headquarters is in Alexandria, VA -- 1-800-342-2383. You might also call your local chapter and report it so they know the activity is going on in your city. If scammers are allowed to dupe the public in the name of worthy charities, it will affect real donations. Revenue loss is serious to the charities. Is it serious enough for the charities to get together and get our government involved?

Couple days later I picked up and said in a very serious tone: "FBI office Springfield, Ma, agent Donovan speaking....Can I help you..." They haven't called back since.- Caller: Unknown

- AF replies to GregHi. I received a call this morning at 7:30am from someone from this organization. At first, the message machine picked up because the person kept saying: "hello...hello..." So I picked up the phone and she said she wanted to speak to my husband (asked him by his first name). When I asked who and why they were calling, she said she was from the National Diabetes Association. When I asked why they were calling for my husband and why they were calling me at 7:30am, she hung up on me! So I googled them and called the 954 number. I got hold of a customer service rep. She apologized but I demanded to speak to a supervisor. She also gave me the website: www.ndausa.net. She said it's a non profit organization but I am not sure about this. When I asked alot of questions about this organization, she said she could have someone get back in touch with me. I demanded to speak to a supervisor, got several of their names as well as this customer service rep. I demanded that they call me back to explain and apologize. I recommend that when you get these calls, that you call back and demand to know why they are calling.

- TroubledAlexDon't get mad, get even! I traced the location to Ft. Lauderdale. I telephoned the Ft. Lauderdale Secretary of State and informed them that this is not a valid charity and they should look into this. Then, I went to the website of this "charity". After a quick "whois" search, I found the address and telephone number of the people responsible. Here it is:

Call her. It's fun. First she told me she wasn't involved in this chairty then she told me she "forgot" about it. It will be a lot harder to explain to the State of California why she is receiving state funds she "forgot" about, now won't it? Don't get mad! GET EVEN! Now she is being investigated by two states. I hope her life is fun!- Caller: National Diabetes Foundation
