This number calls me multiple of times and when I answer no one says anything.

This is showing on a bogus request for quote for items we don't sell, but are expensive to buy, in some quantity.  I've gotten this before, from "Nigeria" etc. They want a lot if stuff, then pay with credit cards, or fraud checks. They get merchandise and black market sell it. Long way to go for black market goods, ( in old days the mob would just say they fell off the truck) but volume is there thing. Oddly I have actually sold some rather expensive weird items to Nigeria,  and got paid in advance from Royal Bank of England which laughingly said ( I called them) there is way more money in this account than you'll ever be able to sell goods. It was legit, and apparently a wealthy sales broker. This is in text, emails and on a printed form they sent ( when I demanded a printed RFQ from the NJIT
