There are calls coming into my cell from this number and also a weird 9-digit number.  When answered there is no one there.  Can't call it back, message is something like, this international number cannot be connected as dialed.  Blocking from my cell phone won't even help.  There should be something we can do to block these types of calls.

cos hes a cop and wanting to know who you are that is trying to get people to send money cos they have online problem with getting a loan on line so go ahead, and keep calling so that they can trace your call thank you

The same freakin' [***] with the middle eastern accent keeps calling my home and work number. I am taking steps to report all the numbers that come up on my ID to the attorney general's office in my state. I am also talking to a lawyer to file a harrassment lawsuit. These people need to be shut down immediately if not sooner!

These people whomever they are no matter how many times I ask them to stop calling me they completely ignore me and call me 3 or 4 times a day. They cannot be blocked because when I do it tells me it is an invalid number so if somebody can tell me how to block this number I would greatly appreciate it

Today Labor Day, Sept. 5, 20011, I have received a total of 7 calls from No. 987-928-2683.  First call was at 9:00a, last call was at 9:45pm.    When I answered no one responce.    It is very annoying and it feels like someone is invading your privacy.

They changed it now - they're showing up on my cellphone as "Private" but it's the same people.

This company is harrassing my mother, who has no debts. I am assuming this is some kind of scam that targets people that are elderly or is being targeted because of where she lives. Seems like no one is actually trying to stop these people, as some of these messages are over a year old.

This number has called my house at least 3 times today.  The caller, obviously not an English speaker as primary language tells me that my wife's auto loan has been approved.  WHAT AUTO LOAN?  I asked him for his supervisor and he hung up.  What a crock.

Calls my cell number continuously..   I blocked number but they seem to use multiply numbers.

this person who doesn't speak clear english keeps harrasing my home and blow up my home phone, I kept telling him not to call the house anymore and he keeps calling, what shall I do or who do I report this harrasment to??

I took this directly off of the FBI's website (http://www.fbi.gov/scams-safety/e-scams) regarding these calls. I started receiving them today about once an hour from this number and same thing with a different one with the same complaints. I haven't answerd any of the calls.  The kicker is that I haven't even applied for a loan of any sort.

Telephone Collection Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans

12/01/2010—The IC3 receives a high volume of complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. In these scams, a caller claims that the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check cashing services.

One of the most insidious aspects of this scam is that the callers have accurate information about the victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. The method by which the fraudsters obtained the personal information is unclear, but victims often relay that they had completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls began.

The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide to the victims any details of the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers threaten victims with legal actions, arrests, and in some cases physical violence if they refuse to pay. In many cases, the callers even resort to harassment of the victim’s relatives, friends, and employers.

Some fraudsters instruct victims to fax a statement agreeing to pay a certain dollar amount, on a specific date, via prepaid visa card. The statement further declares that the victim would never dispute the debt.

These telephone calls are an attempt to obtain payment by instilling fear in the victims. Do not follow the instructions of the caller.

If you receive telephone calls such as these, you should:

■Contact your banking institutions;
■Contact the three major credit bureaus and request an alert be put on your file;
■Contact your local law enforcement agencies if you feel you are in immediate danger;
■File a complaint at www.IC3.gov.

This number calls me all the time too! I wish I knew how to block them, but can't. They have to be idiots!

What is this number? it soundslike a weird language talking.  I dont get why they keep calling, very annoying.

They called me today at 1:10 pm and wanted to give me a car loan,  He spoke very bad English and I could barely understand him.  When I asked to be removed from his calling list he said I give you the 1 finger salute for today.  I tried to block this number and my service won't let me block it?  Not sure why??

We have number ID so if it is a number we don't know  My kids don't pick up the phone and there of course, is never a message. aND MY HOME NUMBER IS ON THE NO CALL LIST.
