    Although an innocent error is possible, it is more likely an attempt at a "wrong number" text scam and subsequent "pig butchering." Block the number and forward the text to 7726 (SPAM). That will alert your carrier and they will investigate. Here is some info on this scam and how it works....

    I had received a phone call from this Rhode Island phone number. I don’t know anyone in Rhode Island! But this woman stated she could assist me in lowering my electric bill with whatever sham she was selling. I don’t live in New England, lady! Nice try!
